Action - First Arena
Who: Aang and YOU
Broadcast: None
Action: Red Fish and Planet
When: Right as Aang arrives
Red Fish
[Well, this is definitely not the arena Aang just left. Did they keep him dead and bring him back for another arena?
He's not sure, but he's going to wait until he actually can ask someone he recognizes. In the meantime, this arena seems to have powers, so he's going to take advantage of it.
He grabs a bag--possibly stealing it from someone's room, though it doesn't occur to him that people are really living in individual, undefended rooms--and stuffs it full of any food he recognizes in the kitchen, then any medical supplies that he recognizes in the medical bay, which... is way more than he remembers being able to recognize before.
It takes him a bit before he feels the space behind his ear, discovering a brand new implant in his head.]
Oh come on!
[That's the third time they stuck something in his body without asking!]
Planetside
[Aang doesn't spend much time in the town. He loads up on food and proper desert clothing before heading out into the desert.
He wants to make his own shelter and not depend on what the Capitol has provided. Chances are, something terrible is going to happen to those houses. Once he feels comfortably far away from the town, he drops his bag on the ground and stretches his legs and arms, warming up.
Then he takes a deep breath, centering himself, and then starts blasting the ground with fire.
The sand begins to glow red. Aang manages the heat carefully, keeping it contained or shooting upwards, careful of hurting himself or any animals that may be lurking nearby. As the fire keeps burning, the sand starts melting, and Aang begins bending it with one hand, making it rise and twist into something resembling a cave.
And then he shuts off the fire, a glowing red rough glass shelter left behind. He wipes sweat from his brow and drops into the right posture to start bending the sand to mostly bury the glass, where it will be protected from the sun and camouflaged from other tributes.]

toon Pryna is best Pryna
[Poor kid. He'll try his best to help convince him he's in a... relatively safer place. He smiles at Aang and Pryna. She's such an attention whore. He pats his leg and Umbra comes to him so Noct can scratch him too. Poor neglected boy. It isn't his fault, he is just the less... ambitious dog when it comes to asking for head pets.]
Ah... like the definition? Sure but do you mean a specific arena?
She's so cuuuuute!
Never mind.
[Aang shrugs, looking down at the dog instead and giving her scratches.]
I guess I'm new.
[He doesn't actually believe he's new. This is a Capitol trick of some kind, but he doesn't feel like pointing that out to every person he meets. He doesn't like how they look at him when he tries to.]
I love her ; ;
[Noct can tell he's said something amiss. Aang looks like he's bottling something.]
I have heard of people remembering other places when they come here. Some of the people here weren't at home last, they were in other places. Was this arena another place for you?
I... guess you are new. I haven't seen you around and Umbra and Pryna would have sniffed you out. They have good eyes for people who will pet them.
I want to help you. We're all in this place together.

[Which is what scares him so much. He doesn't believe for a second that he might have been coincidentally pulled into another reality show with unwilling interdimensional participants the second he died in another one. So that leaves him with few possibilities, and none of them are good.
All this leaves him wary. Maybe this person is genuine and wants to help and wouldn't hurt him even when things get desperate. Aang has met many people like that. But maybe this person is also a creation of the Capitol, designed to lull him into a false sense of security before killing him. He's not even sure if Noctis would know either way.
But Aang also doesn't think that the Capitol would out and kill him so soon after dropping him in here. He keeps petting Pryna, finding solace in her thick fur and the glow of a contented pet.]
Thanks for helping me. I'd like to maybe meet your wife some time. But I'll be okay. I've been okay through worse. [Aang would without hesitation extend his hand to help others, but in such an uncertain situation, he's not sure if he should join up with others until he has a better idea of what's happening.]

Maybe that's part of it... or maybe you were in a part of the fleet I haven't been yet.
[Noctis wouldn't know any of that. He'd be horrified to know the details but if he knew he'd just bring Aang to Luna. She's better at helping people get through their pain, emotional and physical. She's a healer of bodies and souls. He wants Aang to survive and thrive here... he reminds him of Talcott back home. So young but so independent and he had such a generosity and kindness about him. He has to protect that and the dogs must sense it too. They'd fight for this kid now.]
No big deal. I think she'd like to meet you. If you want to... come inside... I know the town is creepy but we are staying in town on this main road. If you want to come stay with us you have an open invitation. You come any time of day or night ok?
I hate to leave you out here...

[Aang is too wary of this new and uncertain situation to go into someone else's territory where he'd be vulnerable and outnumbered. Maybe he'll consider it more once he has a better idea of what's happening and he's had a chance to observe their house a little for signs of violence.]

[He looks to the dogs. Pryna is having too much fun with him.]
They can navigate pretty well. They know the way home... you can keep them with you tonight if you want. They can lead you to our place later if that's what you want... I think that's a good idea. I'd feel better leaving them with you, that way you have at least some protection. Would that be ok, Aang?

But at the same time... he's confused and he's lonely and he wants company that won't look at him with pity.
It's the bite of loneliness that makes him bury his face in Pryna's fur, looking at Noctis past her neck.]
I think... that'd be okay. I'd like the company. Thank you.

[He reeeeeally should. Those doggos are furry friends who would never turn on him. They're big babies. Well, Pryna is. Umbra is more of a loyal dog who doesn't get lost all the time and doesn't beg for scraps. They will gladly share Aang's company out here.
Pryna leans into Aang. Yes human friendo, snuggle her!
Noctis looks pleased and he crouches down to address the dogs.]
Alright, you two stay with Aang tonight, ok? Look out for him. [Umbra barked in response.]
Thank you Aang. Maybe in the morning, you can come by and Luna and I will make breakfast. She makes great pancakes, you should try them... I'll see you soon. Have a good night and you can come to the house whenever you want if you change your mind about being out here. Umbra knows the way.
