Video/Action- First Pirate Transmission
Who: Panem!Bucky
Broadcast: Yes
Action: The Bridge of the Wonderduck
When: Now
[The video opens with a view of Bucky's face, hair short, face scruffy and a steel determination in his expression as though challenging the very fleet to suddenly do something and prove all his paranoid assumptions correct.]
The last time I was on a show for other's entertainment, we were made to fight and kill each other until only one person was left. Supposedly that's not the case here. Yet.
I assume some of you have been making attempts to learn more about this place and the people behind it.
[A pause. 'What do you know' was on the tip of his tongue, but he was the offworlder now. He didn't hold a single damn card in his hand he knew it too well. He hated it. He'd have to change that.]
What do we know?
[Anyone on the ship itself for any reason will find Bucky at the comms station, waiting for responses and seeing exactly how far the system would allow him to hack until the firewalls caught him. Sometimes you had to test the strength of the bars when you were in a cage.]

action;
wantsneeds to be, her current demeanor suggests nothing of the sort, aside from the unnaturally quiet approach. As is, she mostly seems like a curious, if not downright nosy, short teenage girl.]That's fair. So is the thing in your head telling you that you're communications?
[Nosy and super tactful, clearly.]
action
But, then again, it would make sense. He'd walked in and known exactly how to use the terminal despite never having been in a spaceship or anything like it before.]
I guess so. The technology level isn't that different from where I come from, I hadn't thought about it. Broadcasts and communications were part of my job, so it'd make sense if they were trying to make use of me.
[He glanced from the terminal to Fie.]
What about you?
action
Fie stares at him, her completely neutral.]
Why not take a guess?
action
Public relations.
action
[Does that mean he should try again?]
action
[Sarcasm was a language Bucky spoke well and thoroughly enjoyed.]
Security?
action
She looks at him curiously.]
Why'd you guess that one?
action
[It takes a certain person for security and, this was his gut instinct talking, but she seemed the right type. He was usually pretty good about gauging that sort of thing. Usually.]
Does that mean I guessed right?
action
I like you. [She hops up on the console next to his work, avoiding sitting on any buttons.]
What's your name?
action
I like you too, ma'am.
It's Bucky.
action
Why am I ma'am? That's weird.
action
Because that's how I was raised: all women or ma'am and all men are 'sir.' Being part of a military didn't exactly help to shake it, that's all. If you'd rather I don't, I won't. Simple as that.
