Video/Action- First Pirate Transmission
Who: Panem!Bucky
Broadcast: Yes
Action: The Bridge of the Wonderduck
When: Now
[The video opens with a view of Bucky's face, hair short, face scruffy and a steel determination in his expression as though challenging the very fleet to suddenly do something and prove all his paranoid assumptions correct.]
The last time I was on a show for other's entertainment, we were made to fight and kill each other until only one person was left. Supposedly that's not the case here. Yet.
I assume some of you have been making attempts to learn more about this place and the people behind it.
[A pause. 'What do you know' was on the tip of his tongue, but he was the offworlder now. He didn't hold a single damn card in his hand he knew it too well. He hated it. He'd have to change that.]
What do we know?
[Anyone on the ship itself for any reason will find Bucky at the comms station, waiting for responses and seeing exactly how far the system would allow him to hack until the firewalls caught him. Sometimes you had to test the strength of the bars when you were in a cage.]

I find having beautiful people around to be fairly good for moral. This ship seems to be doing well on that front.
[It's an easy thing to slip into, responding like this.]
As far as comms go, I promise I'll be digging into everything I can as soon as possible. With luck, I'll have results just as quickly.

I like the enthusiasm, but no need to rush yourself too much.

If you notice anything off in any of the ship's systems, anything that shouldn't be acting the way it is or even anything new, let me know. Technology is just metal and wires programmed to run with code. Code has errors like anything else man-made. Sometimes those errors show in small ways like a flicker of lights or something going on the fritz. Sometimes it's bigger, but bigger doesn't always mean more noticeable, so keeping aware of how things are supposed to work and knowing when they're not is a big part of figuring out the problem.

Of course.
Though, I admit, all of the information I have about this technology comes from the chip they put in my head. I've nothing like this back home.

Seems that's about what half the people here have to say. It might not be what you're used to, but you seem smart and, better than that, clever. I don't doubt you'll be able to pick up on anything weird even if you're not sure what you're seeing.
I'm looking forward to working with you, Cyril.

For now, I'll let you get back to your work. Let me know if you need anything, work-related or otherwise.
[He really can't help but let that suggestion drip in innuendo.]
