I have appreciated having you as compatriots since I first arrived. Current circumstances have required me to move to another ship however. There was no option not to transfer.

In light of the fact that my move has left the Caprine without lab support, I am offering to assist the Caprine in this regard until the ship gains medical support of their own. If you need me for any reason, you can contact me or I'll be on the Blameless now.

[New ship, only slightly different. The basic design wasn't too different from the SS Caprine. However, there were things about it that were different. It had been customized by a different crew than the Caprine had had.

So this called for investigation! After going to the lab at the back of ship and looking it over to make sure everything was in order, he headed out into the corridor to explore the ship. Especially if he was going to be the First Mate of the Blameless, he needed to know where everything was.

He's just wandering the public areas of the ship. Maybe he'll run into one of the crew at some point]

From what I can tell of humans, we do age slower and live longer. Of course the first I met was Shiro so I can't be completely sure. I'm probably correct.

Humans do tend to have very short lives. I have watched many come and go in my time.

There are a surprising number of races that have shorter life spans. It is nothing against them; that is how nature desired them to be just as we are both how we came to be.

Mm. If you mistook my words for sadness then I apologize. I did not mean it as such. After all there is a beauty found in something that lasts but a moment.

I did not consider that. It is simply how things are. Not every race can be the same.

It does. There is such a wonder to how so much can be created in so little time.

It is. I've seen and heard information on some amazing civilizations that have created for races that don't live nearly as long as I do.

I hope I am able to see some of these during my time with this fleet. I would like to behold such treasures in the universe.

Perhaps this current planet would qualify. The people were able to build such amazing things, but it was what they built that outlived them.

I have seen that happen in the past where I am from. It is always a wonder what lives on when life has come to an end.
