[Beverly is onscreen, the Blue Fish's med bay, still intact, behind her. Her jaw is set with determination as she talks.]

Attention, Drift Fleet. This is Dr. Beverly Crusher of the USS... of the SS Blue Fish. I know some of you have taken significant damage to your ships, possibly to your sickbays, and that others do not have a medic on board. Fortunately, our sickbay survived the attack, so I am offering it as a central location to help the wounded while repairs are being made elsewhere. We have a small supply of blood on hand as well, should anyone need it. If any member of your crew is too severely injured to be moved, please let me know, and I will come to you. No payments will be necessary for any treatment.

Thank you for your time.

[She signs off with a grim smile.]

I'm glad you and your crew are okay, Ino. I just hope everyone else is as fortunate. Some of the ships look like they barely made it to the way station.

Yeah, some of them got hit pretty hard. I have yet to hear back from anyone saying there's been any life threatening injuries or casualties, though.

at least he looks like he's mostly in one piece, if a little bruised and rubbing the side of his head. the confused expression he's got going on really has nothing to do with his head injury, though. that's normal.]

[ Almost none of them know anything about spaceships other than what the augments have taught them, and it's a struggle to upgrade the bathrooms, let alone their weapons or shields ... ]

[She examines his head, but though it is clearly bothering him, she sees no evidence of injury. Strange.]

Well, first off, I think we could all do with a little cross-training. I mean, we should let the experts do their jobs, but if an engineer or a pilot or whoever is taken out in the middle of a battle, other people on the crew should be able to step in as back ups. One of the core principles of Starfleet training is making sure everyone has at least some basic knowledge of ship's operations.

Secondly, we need a plan for the next time this happens. Every ship for itself isn't going to cut it in the long run.

Chiming in with another offer of help. The Wonderduck seems okay, though still in need of repairs. We're better off than some ships are.

when she questions him, he nods a little, but most of his attention is elsewhere. he's distracted.

I'd prefer trying to talk to these aliens first, see what they want. Though, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that probably what they want is their fees from Atroma in return for providing a little excitement for the show. Still, we should try making contact with them if we get the chance. If not... then yes, I'm talking battle formations. All the pilots should be practiced in evasive maneuvers as well.
