What is Thanksgiving.

Well, it's an Earth holiday—Specifically an American feasting holiday on Earth. You gather with family and make a lot of delicious, specific food. Of course, the legend of the holiday and why it exists doesn't make a lot of sense, but humans aren't very receptive when you try to tell them that. Mostly, it's a time to be together and show thankfulness for what you have.

It's also traditionally a time when distant relations with various political leanings and beliefs come together, so many topics are taboo while dinner is being served.
