Well, the Atroma probably spat it out the way they did the Blameless, but I can't rule out it might have belonged to some other crew long gone by now. Either way, it's not my ship. That's home.

That's the name of the ocean we sail on. My ship's name is the Thousand Sunny. [Though she's loathe to correct him, because she appreciates he found it interesting.]

And pirate. Not particularly bloodthirsty ones, though.

Why the Thousand Sunny?

[She's so used to having to give a big long speech about how she doesn't rape and pillage at this point, too. Kudos.]

The figurehead's a lion. It looks kind of like the sun. Thousands of possibilities open to us once the ship was built. It's an optimistic kind of name.

[It may also currently be on the bottom of the ocean, but she's hoping at least the ship survived. It's meant to be indestructible.]
