Then this continues to be a very odd question to lead in with. Presumably, there is at least one other person on this Fleet who doesn't need to breathe like that. We seem to collect every and all types.

Sadly, no. The mask is only protective in environments where an abundance of breathable gas is present.

Then you don't need to be concerned. [Since, obviously, Castiel has already assuaged your fears about asking such a question for sinister reasons]

The locals here seem perfectly amicable.

They are. Especially here in a sports fanatic kind of way... I never thought I'd see that kind of mentality outside of my own planet.

What I mean is they don't seem eager to cause trouble. [So y'know, there's like, some wiggle room]
