If you've got need for a barbarian who may or may not, resist the spacey bits, I offer my service. But here hoping you can find people who are a little more sure of themselves in this rough terrain.

[Kramm nods gravely.] Mmm, right. You'd need a pretty accomplished cleric for that. Do we have any clerics on this fleet? I hadn't even thought of that ...

I don't see how a holy man would be of any particular use.

[Kramm gives Castiel a look like that's a very silly thing to say, but then seems to remember these worlds don't work like each other.]

Clerics on my world; they use their connection with their gods to summon energy to heal others. Some clerics, I've heard, are so powerful they can bring people back from the dead.

Ah. Like a witch. [obviously]

[Kramm frowns and tilts his head slightly.] Uh, no ... not like a, ah warlock, I mean it's not really their focus? Really, I'm not too knowledgeable on spellcasters in general but I do know you get hurt; you see a cleric.

[tilts head opposite] You don't see a doctor?

Well, yeah, but they kind of tend to stay put? Don't always have that luxury when you're on the road, or deep in a dungeon.

Your doctors can't walk? [what happened. this must be before the traveling medics, if they're going straight to having a dude around to conduct last rites at the drop of a hat]

Of course they can walk. But they're not going to leave their businesses to follow around an adventuring party. Besides; Clerics can have some pretty diverse set of skills. Or maybe your doctors know how to swing a mace in the middle of battle?

From what I understand, no. But swinging a mace in battle doesn't hold the same importance with humans as it did some centuries ago.

Humans, elves, dragonborn ... but I take it your countryside isn't littered with displacer beasts and monster-infested breweries?

Oh no, there are plenty of creatures aside from humans. Most of society doesn't know of them, but they exist.

[Kramm's face shifts in the approximation of raising an eyebrow,] Really? I take it humans are much more insular than the ones I've known?

I imagine it's very unlike what you've known.

Regardless, we won't be in need of a...cleric. Or any sort of healer.

[Kramm snorts,] I hope you're right. In my world that's talk from a dead man with no regrets or unfinished business.

I only meant that I am capable of healing, and that those along with me are so powerful I doubt there's anyone here who could be able to heal a grievous wound they couldn't heal themselves.

[Kramm laughs at his own misunderstanding.] Ah, so you're the cleric! Ah, so to speak.
