[It's a ship full of dumb immortal assholes who are not only tired of sitting around, but are fundamentally sorta bad at it.

Except for Kaworu, primordial stoner. And Loki, provided there's some community theater to behold.]

Nothing is impenetrable. [He turns to glare up at the ship's facade.] There's a way through it. There must be.

[ Loki makes a frustrated noise. ]

Perhaps I can get a sample of the metal. I can — [ But he cuts himself short. He can't. The chemicals are restless in his head. He'll just try and fail and it'll be worse. ]

This need not be our only attempt.

[Thor might be projecting a lot more stability compared to Loki. But his own thoughts are screaming at him to get out of here. Unbidden, Shiro's words about how the Marsiva ate another Fleet vessel comes to mind, and he flinches.

He shakes his head, meeting Loki's eyes.]

We need to come back with a better plan.

[ Loki swallows. ]

Fine. Fine.

[ It's a bitter pill to swallow. He shifts on his feet, restless. Loki even squeezes Thor's hand quietly as he glances back, seeing the blankness between stars. ]

[It rankles Thor as well, a spike jammed into his resolve where there shouldn't be any cracks to find. If they had more time - more people to check every last inch of this infernal ship -

He wants to leave, he wants to leave, he wants to stay and finish the job but goddamn it he wants to leave.]

If Castiel finds something we'll go to him.

[Thor's own grip on Loki's hand tightens.]

[ Loki turns his gaze to the Marsiva. ]

I do not think he'll find it.

[Castiel keeps his distance this time, shining like a beacon from around the Marsiva instead of zipping over to the brothers. He sends out his Voice (can't avoid that cascade of whispers) to beckon them closer to a small, tinted window, nearly impossible to see from a distance.]
