[Furiosa sits in the Captain's chair, looking out at the fleet and the current planets they're orbiting. She'd been doing work; courier and transport jobs mostly, but had stopped back on the Starstruck for a quick break before diving back in. She'd found a note from Max, and no Max, and now heading down to the races didn't seem as appealing.]

[She had come back, Tyrion had come back, was it to much to hope Max would too? She'd brought out a small green plant, modest but flourishing, that had been an early gift she'd given him when he first arrived on the ship. It was up to her now to keep it going.]

[Feel free to come break her reverie, or job in it!]

[when he first passes by the bridge he doesn't do anything; furiosa isn't much one to vent her feelings, and aizawa isn't much one to accept them. she'll have her own way of dealing.

...but something makes him turn around and go back, without even reaching the lab. he heads right over to the chair, hands in his pockets, and clears his throat when he's a respectable few yards away.]

My condolences.

[Furiosa looks over as Aizawa clears his throat, and then offers him a wan smile.]

Thanks, Aizawa. It's for the best. [Where he could wander and grump about in peace. She was going to miss him, though.]

How have you been?

[given what they've told him about their home, no green, not enough food, chaos everywhere...aizawa's not so sure. but furiosa would know better than he, wouldn't she?]

Fine. Though, I have a bunch of spare parts for a prosthetic now. [nods towards her arm.] Might be able to repurpose them, with an engineer's help. If you need any.

[It's an awful world, but it's theirs, and it's got it's hope in it. There's a good part of Furiosa that's jealous he's gone back and she's still here. She'll manage, though; it's certainly an easier life.]

[She takes a look at her own arm, vicious and hardy made of scrap that fit well on the War Rig and for chasing down Buzzards.]

Might not be a bad idea for a backup or two. I appreciate the thought.

I'll drop 'em off at your ship. [y'know, sometime.] Do you need anything?

[Furiosa pauses for a moment in thought. She wasn't really lavish, wasn't distraught in greif, but her thoughts had a tendency to wander without anything to really work on.]

A project, busy work. Got anything like that?

Maybe. [he'll have to look into it. most of his busywork is all documentation, research and lesson planning.

...but, actually,] You know about how to reinforce things against strong winds and heat, right? Explosions too?

[She smiles.]

Yeah. Had plenty of training for that in the Wastelands. [Heat and explosions regular occurrances, intense winds with the massive sandstorms that swept in.]

I have a new student aboard...let's just say explosions are his specialty. I'm going to need help reinforcing training dummies and the like for him.

[She raises her brows at him.]

Certainly sounds like a challenge. Should we be reinforcing any of the ship as well, or does he have a fair control over when his abilities?

[expellerhead]

Thankfully he's smart enough to know that humans can't survive violent decompression. [bakugou's motor control isn't the thing that worries aizawa the most, after all, it's that temper. oh, and the fact that atroma can fuck with their augments and change them both physically and mentally.] Just some of the training equipment on the Iskaulit will need reinforcement. I can send over some specs.

Good, I'll take a look and see what I can do, maybe see about acavenging some scrap from the planet.

I appreciate it. [that's his queue to start the departure process] If you need any funds for it, let me know. I've got a nest egg for this sort of thing.

Will do. I've already been working with a few scrapyards; it's good to have this stuff on -hand, and they might be able to give me a discount on choice pieces.
