[After engaging in some extremely extra behaviour with a bunch of other extremely extra immortals, Thor came down with a brutal fever on the First Breath and has been holed up in Loki's room ever since. Still, there remain some things he needs to do.

[That reminds Thor to actually drink his own. He takes a sip of it, though he looks dissatisfied with the taste. It could be more on him than the establishment. When he sets the mug back down, he clasps his hands together on the table.]

I've found out a few things about the Marsiva.

[Not that Natasha wasn't paying attention before, but she leans in to listen closer then. Her demeanor doesn't change, but it's still clear he has her interest.]

[All right. He pauses a second to gather his thoughts, before continuing.]

A few days ago, I tried attacking the ship along with a few others. I couldn't get through the hull but I was able to see what happens when something does strike it.

[He didn't go alone. That's good, at least. Still she would have liked it if he mentioned it to her before they moved. More important things now though.]

What happened?

Any damage I caused was gone within a second. It was so fast it was nearly impossible to see. [Propping his elbow on the table, he rests his chin on his fist.] It reminded me of the resets I saw in Nariba Relia.

[The ghost town brought to ruin by a malfunctioning replicator.]

You think it was related? The same technology?

[Because that really would be something.]

It could be. If not the same then very similar. It would mean the Marsiva houses a similar kind of generator; an extremely powerful one.

That scans considering everything Atroma's capable of. Explains some things, even.

[It also raises some other questions.]

Wish we knew for sure if they had it before.

Hard to say, without knowing if anyone's tried to fire on it before. I did hear about the...

[He pauses, frowning up at the ceiling. What the hell was it that Shiro described? He's too tired to think of it immediately. After a few seconds, he makes a vague hand gesture.]

...the thing where Marsiva ate another ship. [Close enough.] There's much that's unexplained about that vessel.

That's an accurate description.

[As accurate as any. She saw it herself, and isn't sure she could come up with better. Though she would have tried.]

Safe to say those aren't the only tricks it has we don't know about. Those, and the cannon.

Wait, what cannon?

[No one's mentioned a cannon to him before.]

You heard about the gala and the heist last year?

[Did no one tell him about that? Natasha's been derelict in her duty if he didn't know about that.]

The heist ... yes, you told me of that. Was there a cannon there?

[In a gala?? Not the strangest thing you could have at a party, Thor supposes, but he's not connecting the dots particularly well at the moment.]

Not exactly. [Seems like some details were left out in favor of other priorities.] After Atroma cleared our files from any device they had access too and downloaded our "contribution" to the show, the Marsiva opened up and shot our contacts in the other fleet out of the sky.

Giant cannon.

[Thor grimaces in disapproval, though he isn't surprised. Most ships of that size would have some kind of defensive weaponry, if not outright offensive ones. He vaguely recalls something about the Interceptors from that document Shiro told him, so this must be that event.]

So it can attack if it chooses. I didn't see anywhere that looked obvious for a cannon mount, but I did see ... something. [He rubs at his forehead, belatedly remembering the other mystery.] Something through one of the windows.

It can most certainly attack if it chooses. Safe to say that it has other tricks in its arsenal too. [Things a lot more subtle than a cannon.] Wasn't long after that we had calibrations. Hard to feel like that was a coincidence.

I don't know that anything is a coincidence around here.

['Calibrations' though? It's not ringing a bell for Thor at the moment.]

I saw something in there and I'm not certain if it was a living being or not.

What would it be if it weren't?

It looked to me like liquid of some kind. It was spread all over the room I could see through the window, but it... moved on its own. Moved towards a corner.

[Thor stares into his coffee cup for a moment, as though the drink there harbours similar tendencies. Only his coffee doesn't make him feel dislocated from his sanity like the Marsiva entity had done.]

I haven't a clue what it is, or isn't.

Now that one is news to me. You're sure it was moving... intelligently?

[She's not sure what it means, but if he's right... it might change quite a lot.

Or maybe nothing.

She's not sure yet.]

I don't know if anyone could call an oil spill 'intelligent'. [He knuckles at his eye for a moment, cursing his continuing tiredness.] But it had no cause to move the way it did that I could see. And it just looked... wrong.

With everything we've seen, it's hard to rule out the possibility.

[Shaking her head.]

Not that I know what it would even mean, but... thanks for keeping me in the loop. Can't hurt to have more people know it.

I thought you'd want to hear it from me first. Castiel's going to try giving out the information through dreams somehow, but...

[He ends with a vague hand gesture. The Avengers haven't had the best of experiences with mental communication, Thor included. He's had enough of meaningful dreams himself.]

I appreciate it. I trust news from you more than some kind of vision.

Yeah. I have no idea what that's going to look like. Weird, probably.

[Considering Castiel spent that trip in a cloud of light and sound, which is weird even by Thor's admittedly high standards.]
