It does revive you at the end of a hard-fought battle. [Thor, no.] You are right though. This isn't about getting a drink.
I have something to add to that document you showed me.

New information? [A new look at Thor's face and the state of his health.] Please tell me you didn't lose anything important in exchange for it.

[Thor drags his fingers back through his rumpled hair and turns to lead them back down the corridors to the lecture hall. He doesn't look well, but he's not about to fall down dead.]
About a week ago, I attacked the Marsiva.
[Well, at least he gets right to it.]

[The way he says "stuck" is filled with sympathy. Shiro is a very active person, and hates it when he has to do nothing for long. It gets him restless, and bored. Thor doesn't look great right now, but he doesn't look almost dead either. Shiro keeps an eye on him as he follows him regardless.
Eyes widen and eyebrows raise when he hears what comes next.]
You attacked the Marsiva? After I told you about the swallowing void? Thor, you could've been killed! Why? Did you have a plan at all or you just were trying to break in?
no subject
Breaking in was the plan, Shiro. More than that, it was an attempt to see how well the Atroma track what we say, as several parts of it were talked about on the network and in person.
[He shakes his head.]
There were five of us who attempted it.
no subject
A hard way to check if we can't tell if they didn't listen or if they did but didn't care. [The Marsiva seems to be able to defend itself just fine after all.] Five of you. All with powers, I'm guessing?
no subject
[Thor is of the opinion that these sorts of checks are for nothing if the augments themselves record what they see and hear. Still, it was worth a test.]
Yes, and more importantly those who can survive the vacuum of space. Though I didn't see much of what the others attempted. [He turns his head to look at Shiro once again rather than the path they walk.] I hit the ship with multiple lightning strikes. What I learned is that it does receive damage, but it repairs itself almost instantly.
[Sound familiar?]

[People who can survive the vacuum of space... Shiro is a little jealous of them, he must admit. Now that's an ability he would love. He has his armor here, to be fair, which allows him to space walk, but it seems he couldn't have helped with much if this is a god's current state of health.
And yes, it sounds familiar, but it doesn't surprise him.]
Like the door. Like everything in that planet. So the technology is similar, if not the same.

It may well be. It happened quickly enough that it was nearly impossible to see. We would need a much larger sustained attack to penetrate that hull.
[Something that proved difficult to manage when his mind was screaming at him to go, to run. And then having to help Loki suffering through the same insanity. Thor lets out a breath, shaking his head.]
That was part of it, but we also found one window that we could see through. There was something in there.
no subject
[Something that has been in his mind since he arrived, but he feels it now more than ever. It would provide some more useful backup for situations like this and disasters like the cannibal attack.
The rest of what Thor says though... interesting. Very interesting.]
"Something", you say. I'm assuming it wasn't people?
no subject
[He's aware of the Earth creatures, having seen pictures of them before. Thor doesn't see how lobbing a furry predator at the Marsiva will help matters. Cynically, he supposes it could garner ratings.]
No, not people. It was a pool of dark liquid. It coated the floor, but it seemed to move on its own. I could see no cause for it to collect to one side but it started to do that after a time.
no subject
Not the real animal. My team and I pilot five powerful, semi-sentient ships that are shaped like lions. They're huge, especially when they combine. I want to say they'd give the Marsiva run for its money, but with this regeneration ability you mentioned, I'm not sure anymore. I could provide you better back up, at least, maybe manage a bigger hole to look into.
[He frowns at the description. That's no something that he expects to hear at all, but then again, what is he expecting from the Marsiva anyway? It's a huge metallic mystery.]
So it was alive. An alien form, perhaps? Did it notice you were there?
no subject
[Which is saying something, given who he is and where he's from. At the question, Thor just snorts.]
If it did, I could not tell. It wasn't as though it had eyes or... anything. The edges of it were strange. I'm not sure I believe it is just liquid.
But it is hard to know much more from one glance.
[A glance taken in the midst of crippling artificial dread, no less.]
no subject
[A weird mix, he knows, but it's a hard concept to explain anyway. That snort by the way? Not promising. Shiro tries to stay optimistic though.]
It may've been just a glance, but at least you got some information out of it, small as it is. It would've been worse if your receiving its attack had been for nothing. [So yeah, even if he disapproves a bit about the hot-headness of this idea, he can accept something came out of it. Congrats.] Now we know for sure the Marsiva isn't empty. We're one step closer to something.
