Who: Baku (
dreamvour) & Castiel (
angelofthevored) , and all of the Fleet
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Within dreams
When: Over the span of the next two weeks
[If your character dreams, they may be visited by either Baku or Castiel within the next two weeks. They'd appear suddenly in their dream or, if no dream is available, they might pull up a neutral space for your character to ease into before talking to them.
They're not here to intrude; just to ask permission. Permission to share a memory. If your character has defenses against spiritual/psychic intrusion, they'll take that as a no and leave unless they're responded to.
If you would like your character to just experience the memory (from Castiel's perspective) without threading out the interaction, please feel free to have them acquire this knowledge. If you would like to thread with either Baku or Castiel, please indicate in the subject line if you have a preference.
NEUTRAL SPACES: White Room | Fishing Dock | Bamboo Forest
NOTE: If your character accepts the memory, they will have lingering feelings of dread, much like what people experience upon death revival/tampering with the augment.]

"Less chance of someone dismissing it as soon as they wake up or speaking of it while awake and ruining the whole operation. Very well!"
[The Scientist stands straighter but somehow he just looks more nervous now. You would think in his dreams would be the one place that he wasn't an anxious mess but you would be wrong. How does one prepare for this?]
"I accept the sharing of this information. Err. Should I, um, is there something I'm supposed to do, or...?"

[Cas doesn't even ask him to take off the paper bag as he reaches forward to press two fingers to Flug's forehead. As if the memory was suddenly occurring in his mind, Flug is
seeing through Castiel's 'eyes,' looking on as the gods are unable to damage the Marsiva, and when Castiel failed to find a way past the glass, through the seams of the ship, some force beyond the small cracks and crevices pushing him back. Warding, perhaps.
He has no body. Everything feels distant and cold, but even through it there's a heavy stone of dread sinking down deep, deep as if he still has a physical body to react. It lingers like a disease, like the smell of rotting blood.
He comes across a window and beyond it, a creature. It oozes, slaps against the walls, flows like a river of nothingness, of Empty except for the occasional shimmer of oil slick over its surface. It feels...dangerous.
Castiel withdraws his hand. The Dread lingers.]

[Flug murmurs, eyes rolling back as he takes in the onslaught of sudden stimuli. Tears spill out his goggles coating his bag in small rivulets, just as surely as it was staining the material on his sleeping form outside the dream. Flug knew what dread was, he worked under a creature that emanated pure terror, the sort of undefinable beast that caused madness in the hearts of men; this feeling was something else.
It's the only solace Flug has in convincing himself that the shapeless creature of inky darkness and his ever shifting employer can't be one in the same. They couldn't be.]
"I-- W-when was this?"
[The Doctor sways, woozy; the undefined backdrop of the dream forming small fractures in their space of temporary reality.]

"A week?" [A small shake of his head to regain his bearings.] "But.. No. I was just there."
[Had this happened so soon before he arrived?]
"I didn't feel anything like this, there?"

"Whatever that was, it's not the mastermind of this project."
[There wasn't enough data to conclude if it arrived recently or not, but that fact was for certain. He'll table a few theories from that. Ugh he still feels shaky though, time to sit down on the nearest work table.]
"And if Atroma didn't see fit to stick it here with us, it's either not sentient enough for ratings or being used for something else."
[A thought occurs. If no one knew that thing was there before..]
"What.. were you hoping to find, in the first place?"

"I've been told people are sometimes sent home, even if they return, on occasion. But that's not true, is it?"
[He grimaces further, it's less of a question as much as it is resignation. The ugly truth is rarely so convenient.]
"I suppose the Marsiva is as good a place as any to suspect. On what basis did you decide?"
[To risk so much, surely there was some evidence?]

"So what happens now?"
[They could never speak of the while awake and by the widening fractures of Flug's restless mental state, he doesn't have much longer.]
"Should I be expecting you again?"

[Flug blinks owlishly at the offer. All of this unconditional kindness is still hard to adjust to. After a moment to doctor shakes his head and raises a hand to dismiss the gesture.]
"..Better not."
[He would hate to corrupt his mind's digestion of all of this new and useful information for something as paltry as his own comfort. As surely as the light seeps through the stretching cracks, the shadows in the room grow more and more intense. Castiel probably isn't wrong in his assumption. Too bad.]
"Well, for both our sakes, I hope that you do."
[It's almost said assertively, Cas can't give up his investigation. Flug needs to get back, already he could be out of time.]
"..Thank you for your cooperation, Castiel."

Hopefully sharing this with him wasn't a mistake.]
