Who: Baku (
dreamvour) & Castiel (
angelofthevored) , and all of the Fleet
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Within dreams
When: Over the span of the next two weeks
[If your character dreams, they may be visited by either Baku or Castiel within the next two weeks. They'd appear suddenly in their dream or, if no dream is available, they might pull up a neutral space for your character to ease into before talking to them.
They're not here to intrude; just to ask permission. Permission to share a memory. If your character has defenses against spiritual/psychic intrusion, they'll take that as a no and leave unless they're responded to.
If you would like your character to just experience the memory (from Castiel's perspective) without threading out the interaction, please feel free to have them acquire this knowledge. If you would like to thread with either Baku or Castiel, please indicate in the subject line if you have a preference.
NEUTRAL SPACES: White Room | Fishing Dock | Bamboo Forest
NOTE: If your character accepts the memory, they will have lingering feelings of dread, much like what people experience upon death revival/tampering with the augment.]

Mmhmm. My name is Baku. Dreams are sort of my specialty. [more or less] But I'm here to offer information about the Fleet, if you'd like it.

He doesn't have to think twice about which is likelier. ]
I mean-- all right. [ He's a little uncertain, but it seems like the kind of thing he ought to know. This is just all crazy. ] Will I remember?

[ Weird as hell, but what's the harm? ]
So what do you wanna tell me?

But it leaves behind an unpleasant feeling - are you all right with that? It's tolerable, but - again, unpleasant.
no subject
It's fine. I guess.
[ He can handle unpleasant. ]

. . .
ah]
Could you lean down a little? You're very tall.
[she says, all of not even 5 feet tall]

But Daryl's a survivor, which means if there's something he ought to know about this place and what it might do to them, he's not going to turn that down. ]

[and she reaches up to touch his forehead—
seeing through Castiel's 'eyes,' looking on as the gods are unable to damage the Marsiva, and when Castiel failed to find a way past the glass, through the seams of the ship, some force beyond the small cracks and crevices pushing him back. Warding, perhaps.
He has no body. Everything feels distant and cold, but even through it there's a heavy stone of dread sinking down deep, deep as if he still has a physical body to react. It lingers like a disease, like the smell of rotting blood.
He comes across a window and beyond it, a creature. It oozes, slaps against the walls, flows like a river of nothingness, of Empty except for the occasional shimmer of oil slick over its surface. It feels...dangerous.
—when it's finished, Baku steps back and drops her hand. It's always hard to judge how someone will react when seeing this, though the range she's experienced all make sense, given . . . y'know]

He just listens, and when it's over, he feels-- not sick? That's not the right word, not quite.
It takes him a long moment to catch up after. ]
The fuck was that?

[ The Atroma, whoever the hell they are, or whoever watches this show. ]
He planning to do somethin' about it?
no subject
[an understatement]
I believe he wants to try again. Or attempt to find another way. He's very determined.
no subject
Which he figures is obvious, so he doesn't say it. ]

Awake's better.
[ She's lucky, he figures. Could've been much worse dreams that she walked into. ]

[a pause, and then:]
May I ask your name and what ship you're on? I apologize for not doing a proper introduction before, but given - well, this, it didn't seem appropriate.
no subject
Daryl. On the Tourist.
no subject
I'm Baku, the Caprine's captain. I'll do a proper introduction in person one day.
Would you like me to leave you to the rest of your dream, now?
no subject
Guess so.
[ It's... a bit awkward, having a conversation in a place isn't real. How do you get out of here? He doesn't really understand how they got in, even. ]

[with a nod, she turns to head back to the door she first entered through, pausing in the doorway to address Daryl one more time] Your dream will resume once I leave, though if you want - you'll have the option to either let it keep going, or wake up once I'm gone. Just in case.
See you in the waking world.
[and with that, she steps through completely, the door shutting and disappearing behind her]
