Who: Baku (
dreamvour) & Castiel (
angelofthevored) , and all of the Fleet
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Within dreams
When: Over the span of the next two weeks
[If your character dreams, they may be visited by either Baku or Castiel within the next two weeks. They'd appear suddenly in their dream or, if no dream is available, they might pull up a neutral space for your character to ease into before talking to them.
They're not here to intrude; just to ask permission. Permission to share a memory. If your character has defenses against spiritual/psychic intrusion, they'll take that as a no and leave unless they're responded to.
If you would like your character to just experience the memory (from Castiel's perspective) without threading out the interaction, please feel free to have them acquire this knowledge. If you would like to thread with either Baku or Castiel, please indicate in the subject line if you have a preference.
NEUTRAL SPACES: White Room | Fishing Dock | Bamboo Forest
NOTE: If your character accepts the memory, they will have lingering feelings of dread, much like what people experience upon death revival/tampering with the augment.]

WHY DO YOU MAKE HIM MAKE SUCH TOUGH CHOICES!?]
I can try.
[And he tries! Very hard!
...that donut is in his mouth less than two seconds later, but please. Do go on. Just ignore that bit of creme dribbling out of the corner of his mouth.]

Whatever, Cas will just resolutely stare at a flower near where Vash is sitting instead, and tell it all the important things he needs to say, gravely, dramatically. ]
Recently I and others went to examine the Marsiva and we saw something odd inside the ship. Experiencing this memory may leave you with a feeling of dread, but I believe it's worth the risk. Do you accept?
no subject
That is until Castiel mentions the Marsiva.]
Wait-- I know that name. That ship. [No, the donuts are much more peaceful. It's what part of him wants to bask in. To just enjoy the scenery he was in.
But when does he ever get what he wants?]
If you're coming to me in a dream? [He looks for a moment at Cas as if for confirmation. He's pretty sure it's a dream, but it was still hard to completely wrap his mind around with the fog the dream brings with it.] It must be important. Yes. I accept.
[He's going to regret this, isn't he?]

Then don't move.
[Cas leans forward, bends over to tap his fingertips to Vash's forehead, and all of a sudden he's
seeing through Castiel's 'eyes,' looking on as the gods are unable to damage the Marsiva, and when Castiel failed to find a way past the glass, through the seams of the ship, some force beyond the small cracks and crevices pushing him back. Warding, perhaps.
He has no body. Everything feels distant and cold, but even through it there's a heavy stone of dread sinking down deep, deep as if he still has a physical body to react. It lingers like a disease, like the smell of rotting blood.
He comes across a window and beyond it, a creature. It oozes, slaps against the walls, flows like a river of nothingness, of Empty except for the occasional shimmer of oil slick over its surface. It feels...dangerous.
Castiel withdraws his hand.]

He hasn't felt something like this since-- his right hand starts to tremble. The skin there starts to bubble and twist into something else. He slaps his other hand over it and forces those thoughts away. Yet Cas may notice a trace of laughter still in the background of the dream on occasion as Vash's subconscious tries to not think about other times he felt such dread.]
What was that?

[Still, even having said that, he takes Cas's advice and takes a couple moments to compose himself. The laughter fades away after a couple more moments and his hand stop trembling. The dread still lingers and he's not ready to let go of his grip on his own arm, but he thinks he can continue now.]
How long ago? [A hazy memory tries to break through.] Space... that's why you wanted to know who could survive in space...

I'm assuming based on that memory you don't know what that thing is?

[That thing looked terrible. Horrific even. Vash had seen terrible things, but they hadn't chilled him in the same way that this thing did.]

Of course. I think you're probably right on that one, but what could the reason be to make us react in such a way to that--- thing. [He doesn't even like thinking about it.]

[He thinks quietly to himself for a moment.] How could none of us have felt that thing while we were all there? Is it just... is it viewing it that causes that? Not being near it?

I can see why you're coming to people in their dreams about this. I have to say, that's a really useful skill you have there.
[He should probably continue to discuss that creature, but Vash finds he can hardly bring himself to think much longer on it without feeling sick to his stomach.]

Thank you. For the risks you took and for sharing this information.
