[Man, he had the nicest dream. And yeah, he knows it's just a dream, because it's nice. That's literally the criteria the dude works with most nights. His brother and mother and Cas, they were all sitting in the bunker enjoying a movie, or something. He couldn't remember the movie exactly, but there were people who were definitely supposed to be dead there. And they had retired, and it was all good, and they were talking about fishing nearby where it's really abandoned —

When he peels his eyes open he feels like he has the biggest hangover of his life — and is more than a little uneasy (that dream didn't help), and before long he's shuffling through the halls of the Bloodsport like a full month of being missing didn't happen. He knows something's off for sure, but, um. He's also half-awake, hair askew and palm pressing into the socket of one eye to stave off a migraine.]

Man, where'd this even come from...

[Don't worry, it'll go away eventually. He'll just. Make some coffee. Yes.

He sits down with his cup of coffee and turns on his comm device, and nearly spits his drink on it.]

I've been out a month!?

[AW MAN, NOT LOST TIME AGAIN.

A little while later, after he catches up with his buddies:]

[VOICE.]

Hey, uh. So. I've been out a while. Sorry about that — It's been a hell of a... time... I guess. To be honest, I can't really say it feels like it's been that long. I might as well pick up right where I left off, though — right. Blood drives are at the Iskaulit; I'll be available throughout the next few days for that, if you're interested in donating blood.

You do have some paperwork to fill out, and I'm keeping the cut-off at 16, but for those who qualify, it can be a matter of life or death around here when things go crazy.

For anyone new, hey — I'm Sam Winchester, employee at The Space Bar. I also loan out books from my personal stash if you're feeling bored. If you're a new face to me, I'd love to learn more about you, especially what kind of earth or universe you're from. We all seem to have pretty interesting diverging paths at some point, even if the rest of our Earths match up pretty well.

[Kaname's on her way from the lounge when she hears a (weirdly) familiar yell, causing her to drop the book she's holding. With a quick swipe, she grabs it and heads to the kitchen, still shocked to see him despite the inkling he was back.]

Sam! Are you okay?

[Kitty is relieved to hear the familiar voice over the network again and more relieved that he remembers the place. Okay, technically it might be less awkward around the edges if he didn't, but she figures this is for the best. She's also happy for Castiel who was extremely worried about him and really went above and beyond for him. She had some lingering symptoms to prove it.]

Also, [before anything else can happen] if the imaginary friends are real wouldn't that just make them friends?

Oh, you're back. I didn't even notice you were gone.

[Breezily.]

[Fie peers into the camera actually looking a little interested.]

[He coughs and has to reorient himself after nearly shooting coffee out his nose, thanks. And really, he shouldn't be surprised that this kind of thing happens to him. He's a Winchester, they lose time like nobody's business.]

That sounds good to me. I honestly could use new reading material. As much as I like alien soap operas, the books from different planets are getting a little stale. What kind of stories are you interested in?

I'd just like to point out that with how often you and Nami disappear, it would be so incredibly easy for me to stage a coup. If I ever wanted to, I'm just saying.

[NOPE not bothering with a phone, just going right over to the Bloodsport to hunt Sam down and immediately examine him. Don't mind Cas he just sniffed you out (literally) and- wait does he look feverish? His palms are definitely clammy when he takes Sam's face in his hands to look into his eyes and then try to tilt his head back to stare up into his nose.]

Well! It's very nice to meet you, Sam! I don't think I've seen you around here just yet so therefore, I must be new here according to you!

What, you'd really want to deal with a ship by yourself?

To be honest, it didn't feel much like a rest.

[Oh my god, dude, what are you doing. Oh my lord.

He pats away the lingering hands, wrinkling his brow and studying him with some measure of both fond exasperation and concern. Of course Cas would be here to do a once-over. But other than some signs of weariness (it was not as restful as sleeping should be, not that he was even on the ship, but it's not like he knows that-), he's entirely fine.]

Cas, I'm good. Really.

... You look a little worse for wear, though. Are you alright?

[Oh no, not a kid. That's the last thing the fleet should be having, and yet it happens way too often. But he's pleasant, used to addressing kids with a usual brand of politeness.]

Nice to meet you, too. How long ago did you arrive here?

Around a month ago but I'm having a blast right now! It's not everyday you get to meet a whole bunch of people from different worlds! It's pretty amazing what you get to see around here!

We don't have anyone at the moment who actually needs blood to survive either, but if an situation comes up where someone does, I'd rather have blood packets available on standby than someone's neck. At least until a better alternative's reached.

A really short reality TV celebrity who is actually a crossroads demon. Go figure.
