Hi, so, I'm going to need you to go ahead and let me out of here and return me to my ship. I mean, we could do this the long way, but you really, really won't like that. It will be long. And painful. Possibly over days. The thing I'm going to assume you didn't realize about me before you decided to make this incredibly idiotic move is that I don't take kindly to cages. They're not really my thing, and I have a particular prejudice against the people who want to put me in them.

But hey.

[ She puts her hands up in a conciliatory manner ]

Maybe I'm reading this entire situation the wrong way. Just come and get me, we'll talk, and I won't even break your fingers for it. Promise.

[ She rolls her eyes, sighs, and switches off the camera ]

[Kitty met Sara Lance briefly a couple of times early on in her time in the fleet before she disappeared as so many do. She never really got to know much about her except she was good at playing darts. You know, the important stuff.

With some people Kitty would reply with a casual, "Hi, Sara" and then gradually being less creepy and more helpful. That doesn't feel like the way to go this time. Though a big part of her also wants to answer with, "you had a ship?"]

Our mysterious overlords never actually reply to these. You're just going to get other abductees who have been here various lengths of time.

Well, that's just great.

[ the sarcasm is dripping off of her ]

Tell me there's at least a liquor cabinet somewhere.

Mmm...I don't remember if there's one on the Marsiva. That's the ship you're on now, but they'll transfer you to your assigned ship soon and from there you can take a shuttle to one of the bars on the Iskaulit. That's our...community ship? Something like that. There's a pool.

A pool? That's the big reward? And here I forgot my bikini.

So, I take it you're another "abductee"? How long have you been here?

Full clothes or skinny dipping it is then. [She gives her a little smile.]

[Lightly apologetic shrug is go.] I had a team to get back to, but now I'm the captain of a crew here. And at least a couple of people have been here twice as long as me.

She was doing it with Winn. Oh, the plans were more about being in his world, but it was still where they were with things and looking back she both misses it and she's a little disgusted how off mission she was. Hard to be on mission when you're both dead at home and you already heard about how it all ends—and she does mean ends—from a teammate who was from the future.]

We're in orbit around the Yadrolla system right now. It's not a place any of us had heard of before getting here and we'll probably be leaving soon. We don't know the year either.

...Wait, why did you think the year was up for grabs? That's not at thing people usually guess. [She can be curious too. Though it could just be the difference in technology. But she's done a lot of newbie talks and it stands out.]

[ she rubs her temples. this is extremely inconvenient ]

Yadrolla "system"? We're in space. This is 1958 again, but in space. With less sexism. God, I hope there's less sexism.

[ She looks back up at Kitty ]

That ship I mentioned earlier? The one I'm a captain of? Yeah. It's a time ship. Timestream, I'm used to. Space, not as much.

There's less sexism than 1958, yes. At least based on my earth. Not no sexism though. [You have but to meet Manji for that.]

Ah. [She doesn't seem surprised to hear that. She is in a way. She hasn't gotten to know the other Sara but didn't get time hopping vibes from her either. Is that a vibe people have? Jack Harkness definitely had a vibe, but she's not sure she'd call it time hopping. But the act of time travel was something they even had back home. She wouldn't call it common, but it featured pretty heavily in her last days.]

I hope you're used to alternate realities too because we're going to go for all three here. Not so much in traveling to them, but in who the Atroma bring here.

And don't worry about the not no sexism part. I can hold my own. I just have a tendency to stick out in oppressive societies.

Ugh, nazis. [She's not a fan. Not that anyone here is likely to be a fan. ~~Maybe Hux.~~] We have people here who fought them in the past.

And I was wondering when you were going to get around to asking that. [In fairness, she didn't ask either and Sara didn't announce it and doesn't know Kitty already knows. Unless she's doing a face twin thing which is also possible.]

Yeah, well, I didn't want to get too attached.

[ she does offer her a bit of a smile. kitty has done a decent job of deescalating her for the moment. ]

[That gets an amused laugh.] You could just start assigning us numbers, but it's probably too late. I'm too much fun to give up.

While I appreciate your instinct, it won't do any good. The only people who respond to these are people in the same boat.

[A fact Natasha learned herself through experience.]

The people behind all this, they don't make appearances.

[ this is inconvenient. she got some rundown from kitty ]

[Wow, someone is matching her general flirtiness. She's used to making guys blush. SHe might be on the verge of one herself.] That's on a case-by-case basis.

[ sara smirks. hey, at least the girls are fun ]

What's your day-to-day like? Do you have a job? Save the multiverse? Crochet?

[Sliding back into tour guide mode, answering more for the general population and what Sara might encounter than just herself at first.] You're left to your own devices. You'll have a certain role on your ship. I'm captain and engineer. How much effort you want to put into any of that is up to you and possibly your captain though if you don't like them you could just apply to also be captain or transfer ships.

Jobs are optional, but it is nice to have money for better food and clothes and whatever you're into. I've picked up temporary work in the systems we visit before. We're usually there about a month now. It used to be closer to two months when I arrived so that can shift around. I do have a permanent job as a bartender at Malum now though.

I did more saving of the multiverse back home than here, but we did help evacuate a dying planet once. I was in a coma though. Comas are a thing here. More of a thing anyway.

No crocheting for me. I do a lot of training in the gym and I take my direwolf for walks and stalk the network. Rescue new arrivals from themselves. [Smirking.] I get a little stir crazy on the ships so I spent a lot of time on the stations and worlds we come across too. And I read a lot. In my spare time I try to overthrow the Atroma and get everyone wherever they want to go next. Any day now. [Said with no earnestness.]

What's the gym like? And I may have to look into the bartending gig. It wouldn't be the worst job I've ever had.

Gym's good. It could always be better but a lot of it is reinforced so when people with super strength use it things don't all fall apart. [Totally normal for people to have super strength, right?]

It does seem like the staff is kind of thin. He might be looking.
