Who: Sara
Broadcast: Video!
Action: On the Marsiva // The Twin Roses
When: Now!
[ The feed starts with Sara adjusting the camera and pursing her lips, then flashing a waxy smile that doesn't go anywhere near her eyes ]
Hi, so, I'm going to need you to go ahead and let me out of here and return me to my ship. I mean, we could do this the long way, but you really, really won't like that. It will be long. And painful. Possibly over days. The thing I'm going to assume you didn't realize about me before you decided to make this incredibly idiotic move is that I don't take kindly to cages. They're not really my thing, and I have a particular prejudice against the people who want to put me in them.
But hey.
[ She puts her hands up in a conciliatory manner ]
Maybe I'm reading this entire situation the wrong way. Just come and get me, we'll talk, and I won't even break your fingers for it. Promise.
Okay? Okay. Chop chop!
[ She rolls her eyes, sighs, and switches off the camera ]

With some people Kitty would reply with a casual, "Hi, Sara" and then gradually being less creepy and more helpful. That doesn't feel like the way to go this time. Though a big part of her also wants to answer with, "you had a ship?"]
Our mysterious overlords never actually reply to these. You're just going to get other abductees who have been here various lengths of time.

[ the sarcasm is dripping off of her ]
Tell me there's at least a liquor cabinet somewhere.

So, I take it you're another "abductee"? How long have you been here?
no subject
Two years, four months and eight days. Not that I'm counting.

[A fact Natasha learned herself through experience.]
The people behind all this, they don't make appearances.
no subject
Do we even know they're people at this point?
no subject
[Natasha doesn't like it, but her tone is carefully bland. Neutral. Professional.]
More likely, it's an organization. But those tend to be made up f people.
no subject
[ she sighs, mind working. trying to figure out what to ask next. trying to figure out how to get out of here. just generally figuring things out ]
So, what's the play?

[ This is a very strongly worded letter! He sympathises, though; Clark can just imagine what Lois would do if she'd ended up here. The Marsiva probably would have been ripped open from keel to stern. ]
Have you found anyone else there with you yet?

Action
He's stopped in mid step with one leg still hanging in the air he puts his hands up in a mock surrender.] Please don't break my fingers. I promise I'm not the one who put you here!
[Said with a smile. No, he's not at all nervous or thinking she'll break his fingers, but he did see that post earlier.] I guess this means you're a newest crew member. Welcome aboard! I'm Vash. [Should he say he's a co-captain? Naw. That's probably not important.]
Action
I'm Sara.
Who's the cat?
Action
She kind of does whatever she wants no matter what I try to do. [As if to prove how pathetic Vash is with her Kuroneko reaches up to sharper her claws on his legs. She wants food!] OW! [Excuse Vash for a moment as he reaches down to carefully remove the cat from his leg.]
Action
[ she outstretches some fingers to entice the kitty to come over for scritchins ]

Time-shenanigans says Presto-Chango: we're in the Space Bar now
He sits at the bar, a change of venue from his usual corner spot, but someone else had taken it before he'd gotten there and the whole place was a little more crowded, so sitting at the bar with his glass of water it was. He has his pad of paper in front of him, already half used despite cramming every corner of the paper to leave nothing to waste. Kara had told him it wasn't so rare a commodity, but old habits were hard to kick. But while his hand scribbles every now and then at the paper, his eyes dart to the door with every arrival and departure. Including the arrival of someone he knows showed up only a day or so ago. He was curious to see how she acted.]

She walks up to the bar and leans on it, speaking to the bartender. ]
Vodka martini, stirred, with an olive.
[ she flips around, so she's leaning against the bar, facing the room, and addresses Bucky. ]
At least the booze is semi-decent.
no subject
She leaned up against the bar and he shot her a smile he'd used to make capitolite women giggle and swoon.]
Yeah? I'll have to take your word for it. [He knocked his knuckle to his glass of water.]
I saw your post the other day. Settling in?
no subject
As best as can be expected, I suppose. I'm still not sure this is the weirdest situation I've been in.
And here I thought you were being economical. But water's probably a smarter choice.
