Hi, so, I'm going to need you to go ahead and let me out of here and return me to my ship. I mean, we could do this the long way, but you really, really won't like that. It will be long. And painful. Possibly over days. The thing I'm going to assume you didn't realize about me before you decided to make this incredibly idiotic move is that I don't take kindly to cages. They're not really my thing, and I have a particular prejudice against the people who want to put me in them.

[ She puts her hands up in a conciliatory manner ]

Maybe I'm reading this entire situation the wrong way. Just come and get me, we'll talk, and I won't even break your fingers for it. Promise.

Before I left home? [Or maybe it's because of the boyfriend reference she made earlier? Eh, she'll just go through the list.] Okay, so I got married really young back home because the world was ending, why not? And remember when I said the circumstances of my death are a lot sadder than just the fact of it? Yeah, it was my husband who killed me. Kind of accidentally-ish. Anyway, that's extremely over.

I had a couple of guys who were important to me for awhile in the prison, but those both ended before I came here and then I was with Winn for about a year and it was great and then he disappeared, and I found a ring in his stuff. [Holding up her hand, still wearing the engagement ring.] He's also been gone for a little over a year so I'm trying to be okay with moving on now. And I am...except for when I think about it.

I was thinking in a more general sense—I mean, honestly, I was thinking about myself. That really sucks, but they all seem pretty clear to me. Well, except the last one. That's more the sort of thing I was wondering about.

How are you supposed to be general about something as personal as dating? But yeah, it's hard anywhere, harder with our lives, harder still in this kind of place. I start seeing someone else and Winn comes back then I get to hurt everyone involved. Yay. I don't then...then I'm just wasting my second chance if I'm not living life fully.

It's pretty much the definition of complicated. Technically I think we were still broken up, but I saved reality so that has to get me some points, right? Oh, and she's a clone.

Oh, I definitely don't care about the clone thing. She's one of a kind to me, but it's just one of those complicating factors.
