Hi, so, I'm going to need you to go ahead and let me out of here and return me to my ship. I mean, we could do this the long way, but you really, really won't like that. It will be long. And painful. Possibly over days. The thing I'm going to assume you didn't realize about me before you decided to make this incredibly idiotic move is that I don't take kindly to cages. They're not really my thing, and I have a particular prejudice against the people who want to put me in them.

But hey.

[ She puts her hands up in a conciliatory manner ]

Maybe I'm reading this entire situation the wrong way. Just come and get me, we'll talk, and I won't even break your fingers for it. Promise.

Okay? Okay. Chop chop!

[ She rolls her eyes, sighs, and switches off the camera ]

[ some time later, Sara shows up in a burst of confetti on The Twin Roses. Hi friends! ]

[She nods.] Thanks. Kurt's from the same world as me. He's the medic on board.

[Leading Sara into the kitchen.] I hope you weren't a big fan of flavor and pleasant textures in food.

It doesn't make custom food for you? What is even the point?

[passingthrough]

I don't know. We should probably all just pack our bags and go home. [As if it's that easy.]

So no mission, no good food. Is the alcohol at least good?

It'll get you where you need to go.

And sometimes we find good food on the planets. [She flips open a cabinet to show off things that look like actual ingredients.] We're pretty stocked up for the moment. I always try to get as much as I can especially when it's getting to time when we're probably leaving. And everyone is welcome to pitch in with that. [She can't imagine not sharing with the crew, but she can only fund so much herself even with the new job. She also tries to keep the ship as upgraded as it can be.]

Got it. And I've probably had worse.

I know I have [apocalypse and all] but it doesn't make the provided space food taste any better.

[She moves to continue the tour on into the lounge.]

The rest of this place seems like it's in good condition though.

[passingthrough]

We keep the place up. The ships are all a little different. Our claim to fame seems to be an abundance of windows. [This room also has games and such but she doesn't point them out. Wouldn't care during her first days if it was her.] This is kind of our living room. It's new.

That's a thing too. You can just suddenly have more rooms. Or less. Why should the laws of physics apply? [Says the girl who walks through walls.]

What's the crew like?

Solid. Eclectic, but we're a good team. Dark pasts, bright futures. [Does she believe in the future? Eh, she liked the balance of it.] We're all fighters. Survivors. [And they mean everything to her. Team is family.]

Plucky? What would you say the degree of well-intentioned idiocy would you say they engage in?

It's like you've already met Vash and Chuuya. There are some pranks and we have our fun.

No amount of describing it would fully prepare you for it.

What's your crew like back home?

Well-intentioned idiots, mostly.

Some less well-intentioned, some less idiotic. But as an average.

There's not too much idiocy. That doesn't mean we always make the best choices. [Her included.]

I think that's natural in any group.

Yeah, it was about the same with the X-Men. With a lot less downtime and sources of entertainment.

Is that the name of your team at home? Kind of sexist, don't you think?

Yeah. X-People doesn't have the same ring to it I guess. Does yours have a name?

Not my idea. More of a marketing ploy to get us to join up than anything else.

Yeah. That would be Rip, who used to be the captain. But things happen, founders go on to found time cops, you know. The usual.
