Don't Dead, Open Inside || Action
Who: Carl Grimes, a bunch of zombies, and you
Broadcast: kinda?
Action: Waystation
When: Right now
(( ooc: This is a blanket content warning for blood/gore/death. So! There are zombies ahead and you’ve found yourself on the waystation! You have two options: evacuate, or fight them off. Things of note to remember: Being bitten or scratched are the easiest ways for infection. We don’t suggest being eaten. Magic will be hit or miss depending on player preference/discretion. Characters who become zombies will be treated as in-character deaths. Standard rules apply! The event will last a total of 24 hours. Have fun, and enjoy all the undead things. If there are any questions or anything at all, feel free to pm this journal or hit me up at
skorozima. ))
[ The Fleet has been floating along its predetermined path for the past few days, getting further and further away from the Yadrolla System and toward unknown territory. Along the way, those oh-so convenient waystations continue to pop up at their usual intervals. Identical in every way to every other, boring waystation. Neat, right? There are even some of those familiar orange-skinned aliens and some human travelers milling about and generally minding their own business. It’s a good place to stretch your legs, get sodas of questionable flavor, and take those nifty new pets for a walk!
Interrupting the general peace of the waystation, a shrill siren starts, and a robotic voice comes over the intercom as well as all communication devices on the station and surrounding spacecraft, repeating a monotone message. ]
ATTENTION. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY. LOCKDOWN IMMINENT. ATTENTION. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY. CALMLY EVACUATE USING THE NEAREST EXIT. LOCKDOWN IMMINENT..
[ Soon, it becomes apparent to those on the waystation what the emergency is. A gaggle? A murder??? Just.. a lot of undead. They’re not in any particular hurry, shambling and stumbling along.. until they spot what looks like some good eats. That seems to get them excited, arms stretching forward, teeth gnashing, and more growling than any sort of verbal mishmash meant to be words.THEY’RE NOT A WORDY PEOPLE, OKAY?
For those looking to escape, it’s quite easy to outrun them unless you’re not paying attention to your surroundings. Corners can be tough! Just don’t get bit or scratched and all is well, except for their incessant attempts at making you a snack. For those who haven’t come across them before, or have run into some variation of them in another world, they’re resilient up to the point of losing their head or the brain being destroyed. Limbs being broken or missing don’t seem to slow them down, just send them a little off-balance.
All they know is attack and eat.
For those of the fleet still on their ships, they gravitate around the waystation, seemingly not wanting to go anywhere. There is a short window of time from the emergency alert to the entire waystation going on lockdown. Those wishing to help evacuate can do so- but they have to be quick!
Once the lockdown is in place, communication ceases with the waystation. All the rest of the fleet can do is sit and wait, and hope for the best. The doors will re-open twenty-four hours later, once it’s clear the situation is handled and they can regroup, count their losses, and wait once again for the perished to rejoin their ranks. ]

He kisses her neck again and this time tries to see if he gets the same reaction his teeth got if he uses his tongue instead.]

She's also right. The hug is his attempt to slow down for a moment.] Me either. [Things were moving so much faster than he had expected. It wasn't bad; it was good! Or at least it felt good.
There was still one more hang up that he needed to be honest about. Something he couldn't stop thinking of no matter how hard he tried.] Kitty, I-- [He swallows to give him a moment to focus his thoughts on what he was trying to say and not on the fact that he could still taste her on his lips.] I've never-- I mean-- I don't know what would happen. [How does one say this? Bluntly? He'll try being blunt.] I'm not human. So I don't know if-- with a-- [Would it be rude to call her a human? Does she prefer mutant? Or is that a slang? He should ask at some point.] I mean, probably nothing.
[Nothing happened on his own at least, but he's pretty sure that's not exactly the same.] I just don't want to hurt you. [God. This would would be so much easier if the other half of his mind wasn't screaming at him to just shut up, turn them over, and find even more new places to kiss.]
no subject
Once he finishes she thinks about what it means.]
Do you mean because I'm a mutant? [As soon as the question is out as much as it could be what he's saying she doesn't think he is. He sounds so nervous.] Or...when you said this was all new did you mean completely new, not just with me?
[Still very much holding and touching as she waits to hear what he says.]
no subject
Vash grins as she starts to catch on to just what he meant. He wasn't exactly embarrassed, but it was still a little awkward.] Yeah, I meant completely new. [He takes one of her hands in his own. How different, yet the same, it looked to his own.] I'm one of the first of my kind. There's a lot I don't actually know about myself.
[Knives certainly wouldn't have explored this avenue and for a very long time he didn't expect to live long enough to find out himself. Sooner or later a bounty hunter would just get lucky.]
no subject
Right. [Don't say...] Wow. [Sorry.]
I mean... Is this okay so far? For you?
no subject
He doesn't answer past the chuckle. Instead he leans in to passionately kiss her lips. How is that for an answer?]

That's one thing you learn living for so very long on a heartless world. There's no reason to rush through the good parts.
Then again... sometimes it's hard to go slow when you finally have something you've been wanting for so long. It doesn't take too long before Vash is trying to smoothly re-position them so he's now on top.]
Warning: There's been kissing and touching and such. There may be more. Just quality zombie content!
Wait.
I mean, don't stop. Just...brief time out.
[That's when she slides the ring she found in Winn's things off. Kara had confirmed it was an engagement ring. He was waiting for the perfect moment. They never got that moment. She'd been wearing it since she found it. Once off she's not sure what to do with it. Just putting it on Vash's nightstand feels kind of wrong the way having it on her finger felt wrong for this. But it's still important to her. She's not giving it up exactly.]
Mmm...oh. [She reaches back and unlatches her necklace caring the locket with pictures of Winn and Kurt and slips the ring on the chain before relatching it. She looks back to Vash with apologetic eyes.] Sorry. Time in?
no subject
He watches without a word as she slides the ring off. He didn't know that it was an engagement ring, but he had guessed it was a gift from Winn based by how much she wore it.
Briefly he opens his mouth to ask if she was sure she wanted to continue, but then shuts it again. Instead he trusts her to tell him to stop if she was having doubts.
He takes his hand and wraps his fingers into her own before leaning and giving her a gentle, slow kiss on her lips.
For the moment he takes it slow again. Giving her enough time to let their actions sink in and how she may feel about it all.] You're beautiful.
no subject
You're sweet. [She nuzzles her face in against his cheek for a moment, inhaling deeply.]
no subject
You'd tell me if you wanted to stop, right? I wouldn't want you to do something you're not ready for or don't want just for my sake.
[He's pretty sure she would, but there is that part of him that sees so little value in himself. It will take some time before he really and fully believes that he could be worth more that just pity or someone to pass the lonely hours with.
He'd be happy either way. So long as Kitty was happy in her own choices as well.]
no subject
[She really does like him. There is also a part of her that just wants to do this in hopes of feeling different. Just anything different than the way it has been. No more debating and feeling indecisive over the same things ad infinitum. It's not a flattering thing for him and maybe not a good look for her, but sometimes you just have to keep walking forward because the things you miss aren't something you can get back to anyway. And sometimes you have to do do that walking in bed. It makes sense. Don't @ me.]

[He moves to kiss her neck once more. This time specifically aiming for the spot he got the best reaction from earlier.]

It doesn't suck. [Her eyes are closed as she enjoys the attention.]
