[He's managed to make the transition to the Caprine without too much difficulty, but now that's he's "settling in", Bruce is realizing just what being on a ship long term means.]

So, this is it. We just play along with this show, act like nothing is wrong, and hope we eventually get to our destination? That's optimistic. How do you manage to live on ships like this for so long? I've never- This is... it doesn't seem like a good idea.

[He smiles uneasily. He has to resist the urge to pick at his own body, making him twitch a bit. At least he hasn't had any issues so far?]

[At least he's used to lab work! Bruce is relieved that is assignment is something he's familiar with (although he did manage to fly a ship once...) and he spends a good amount of time poking around at the ship's equipment, testing both what it can do and what knowledge seems to come to him, because he definitely hasn't worked on a space ship like this before. Or worked around people this casually either. Not to mention the enclosed space makes him very aware of how tight it would be if he were bigger.

[ Bruce may not remember, but Loki hoards grudges. And he's still annoyed with their last conversation. ]

[ To Bruce there is only the unpredictable moody cat that is Loki. He clearly rubbed him the wrong way, but that could also just be Loki's violence rising up like a mysterious tide. He bites his lips, hesitating when faced with the question. ]

No... This is pretty much what I expect.

[ He's going to have to be careful. Bruce looks around him like he hopes someone will be there to help him out of this jam. ]

[ His brow furrows, but Loki smiles anyway. ]

I should think so.

[ Loki is a mystery. Bruce is learning quickly that expecting nothing is really how to approach the god, but he still comes in with some expectations. Loki is... strange. Mutable and hard to pin down. But he's not without patterns and priorities of his own. That much Bruce is learning. So he doesn't let it all go on that note. ]

So, pointers?

[ Let's test this theory. ]

[ His eyes narrow. ]

[ The way Bruce actually looks Loki directly in the eyes, it's hard to tell if he's joking or being completely serious. He gives that hard stare when he's trying not to make an expression go awry, so it could be either. ]

[ He knows, but this is funnier. ]

[ He's still not entirely sure what got him on the target list, but he's evidently gotten the god's attention. ]

[Trying to defend his time spent to a god seems pretty pointless. Neither Thor or Loki really care about things like degrees. Even science itself is a bit archaic to them it seems. Bruce makes a face.]

[ Yeah, PhDs mean nothing to Thor and Loki who were submerged in the life that blended science and magic together, myth and reality. ]
