Got a Mind Like Swiss Cheese
Who: Katie and you
Broadcast: Nope
Action: Vanquish, Iskaulit
When: 25th June onwards
[You'd think she'd reach out to let people know she was okay. What a jerk.
Instead, running into Katie might be an accidental thing. She's either curled up in her room on the Vanquish (her actual room, not the personnel office), patting Licorice absently and not sure why the poor cat sounds so distressed...
...or the jumbled pieces of memory she has eventually lead her to the Iskaulit, exploring most places in the vain hopes it will fill in the gaps.
Run into her anywhere. She's not staying put in any one place unless someone gets her attention, but moving through in a slow sort of way, wrapped in the warmest coat she has. Except for one point where she passes her reflection and stares for a while.]

When did I get so old...?

[He's not impressed. YOU'RE impressed.]

[She waves it about a bit, and gradually her face falls.] I suppose it's probably just a toy. A real lightsaber wouldn't--
[Yeah, that's about the point she accidentally rests the tip against the edge of her blanket and her blanket bursts into flames.
I mean holy shit, that's not child friendly.]

THE HELL!!?!? [Manji rushes forward and grabs her pillow, the closest thing at hand, and using it to slam out and smother the fire.] STOP PLAYING AROUND! [She could fight really well with it before! Why set her own bed on fire?!]
no subject
Sorry, I was just so surprised, sorry, sorry--
[After another moment, she has the presence of mind to power it down. Meanwhile, Licorice is like fire, fuck this shit I'm out and sprinted straight through Manji's ankles and out the door. Smart cat. Her owner has forgotten how to Cat, apparently.]

But yeah okay she gives him an odd look.]
Why would I be afraid of you?
[What exactly happened?]
no subject
Because I killed you!
no subject
[Maybe she didn't hear correctly. That doesn't make sense.]
...you what? [Faintly.]
no subject
Unless...] You haven't seriously forgotten have you? [She has been acting really strange and while he doesn't tend to have memory loss from being killed that doesn't mean others wouldn't.]
no subject
Why on earth would I ask you to kill me!? Why would you go ahead with it?
[THAT'S NOT HOW WE DO THINGS IN BATH.]

that's. a lot to take in. Because that's like. The plot of a horror movie. Lifted straight from a B grade. This place is definitely having her on.
Except for the fact she can't remember at least half of her life, she feels like dirt, and the lightsaber does feel more familiar to her the longer she holds it. What the fuck. In the end, she takes refuge in skepticism, though it's clear from her expression she's not exactly disbelieving.]
So people come back from the dead here. Really.

I don't want your thanks and I'll do you one more favor. I'm leaving. I don't tend to stay on this ship. It's too small and crowded for my tastes. [And it was all because Katie was here.]
no subject
Right. Thank you for-- ah. Returning the lightsaber. I appreciate it.
[And she'll leave it off and not set anything else on fire.]
