[Riona meant to broadcast this to just her crew and the other Thedosians, excepting one certain Alistair. However, she flubbed it. Unbeknownst to her, mind, so she carries on like she succeeded as the broadcast starts and she smiles at the camera.]

Since I know my darling husband isn't going to say anything: today is his birthday. Or, thereabouts. Please do wish him a happy one, if you see him. He didn't get it enough in his life and I'm bound and determined to make up for it. That said, as much as I'd love to throw him a party and really heap on the attention, I know it would be more than he'd like. So no, no party I'm afraid. I wonder if I can get him a nice cake... Anyway, thank you everyone.

Except when she set it on fire, the campfire actually jumped out and me and tried to turn my bedroll into ash! So, no, not better. You couldn't have given her some sort of dead bird? A voodoo doll of her mother? Anything else?

No one does. But you know Morrigan wouldn't have made you do anything - or made anything happen - that was too serious. If nothing else, she knew I would have come down on her something fierce if she had. [Riona usually kept herself out of Morrigan and Alistair's spats (save for one exception), but that would have absolutely spurred her intervention, and it wouldn't have been pretty.]

I'm not so certain. You are fierce, my love, but I suppose once you call her a sneaky witch thief, you're branded forever as a stupid fool.

Well, it was an insult and you know how she is. But Morrigan and I had an... understanding. She toed the line often, but she didn't go too far, save the one time.

Well, she's always sort of respected you anyway, so I suppose it makes sense that she wouldn't want to anger you. Me, not so much, but that's fine.

I know. She's not always the kindest person. Though Leliana told me that the years have softened her somewhat. Her edges aren't so rough anymore. [Motherhood could do that to a person.]
