[ The last thing that he really knew, that he understood and processed, was that his life was over. After that, he couldn't call the details to mind, but the certainty was there. And then, something else happened. He was in a completely different place, somewhere clean, utilitarian but gleaming... and there were stars.

Truth be told, he hadn't gotten past the disbelief, gradually coming to terms with both space and his own continued existence, when suddenly everything changed around him again. Only this time, there was a little tune to greet him, confetti and dessert?

So don't mind him, far more disoriented than he's ever been, stumbling and barely keeping himself upright, staring around the bridge in building bewilderment - and it's rather immediately clear that's what it is, the stations, the windows... space again. However that happened. ]

Um... hello?

[ Eloquent. He'll get to words. Eventually. ]

I, uh... I guess this is basically like the internet? It's been a while but: Hi. My name is Glenn, and I just got here.

[ He draws a deep breath - while he's doing a bit better, he's still unsteady. ]

To space.

[ He's hoping for what he figures is the impossible... he can't bring himself to put it into words. So he leaves it there, with the dubious tone of someone who still isn't sure anything is real. Himself included. ]

Total shock to the system, then. I mean, I can get it, because I got thrown into space without warning myself, but I was basically planning on eventually going into it anyway. And that was before this place too.

So, uh, if you have any space related questions, I haven't been back to Earth in years so I'm pretty knowledgeable about that kinda stuff.

Well, thanks. Thing is I don't even really know where to start, you know? Like, do we know what galaxy we're in, where did these ships come from, how does space travel actually work... basically all of the questions.

[ Though some things are finally sinking in through... everything. ]

But did, uh... did somebody say something about a show?

[the_tailor]

Honestly, no idea what galaxy we're in. And we're still trying to figure out the details behind the fleet. Space travel...hoo boy, you're gonna have to ask someone else on that. Sure, I pilot a ton in space, but the science and mechanics are a little too complicated for me other than what I studied in school. And compared to stuff like this, it's pretty primitive.

[As for that last part...]

Yeeeeeeeeah, about that... Apparently we're on a reality show? Most of us try to ignore that, but it's kind of creepy how we're being watched. I mean, I hope we're not always being watched, 'cause you know. There are private stuff in a person's life.

[ At that first bit, he actually gives a soft chuckle. ]

[ Or at least the attempts at them! Still appreciated. But the next... well. He sits with that a moment. ]

Um, yeah... I, uh. I hope not? I mean, I don't really want any of my life broadcast for a bunch of strangers, but especially not some parts of it...

Do we even know who's watching us?

I can try answering anything you might ask about in the future! I mean, I won't be always successful, but you know. Always willing to help.

[Boy, there are parts of Lance's day that he really does not want broadcast.]

Nope. I've tried to find out, but our audience is totally unknown. But they do interact with us sometimes. We get fanmail, and sometimes gifts.

Well hey, I appreciate the effort anyway. You're definitely ahead of where I am here.

[ And then there's... that info. ]

And that is a little disturbing. I don't generally have an anti-gift policy, but I usually know who they come from. And also when those people can see me.

Yeah. At least the gifts can be cool? Sometimes? Most of the times they're pretty silly, but hey, why not.

[It's...the thought that counts?]
