Who: Vanyel Ashkevron & Anyone
Broadcast: Video, Fleet Wide
Action: SS Marsiva
When: After waking up & the week of April 12–18
[ Vanyel comes awake slowly, head pounding, feeling like he had just spent a week recovering from magic sickness, though at least he didn't feel the need to vomit. Blinking, he looks around the room, sitting up gingerly, clearly cautious. Looking down at himself, he's not surprised to see his Whites (which to anyone else would look medieval, a period costume), perfect and pristine, boots sitting at the end of the bed, polished within an inch of their life.
Over a series of long moments, those watching can see the realization dawn on his face that whatever he had been expecting, it was not this. Not the metal walls, or the sheets that covered him. Eyes dart around, trying to make sense of it all, lips set in a hard line. Vanyel suddenly stops, eyes glazing as if far away, his already pale skin paling further, hands shaking some in his lap, head hanging and his dark hair falling forward to shield his face. It takes several long moments for him to come out what could only be shock.
He swung his feet over the edge, reaching for his boots, tugging them on before standing. Clearly he has no idea his every move is being broadcasted. He sat there, rubbing his hands against his thighs. ]
It was to much to hope for, I suppose...
[ Another pause, gathering thoughts. ]
If anyone is there, my name is Vanyel Ashkevron.
[ Now why would he do that? Perhaps this has happened before? Or maybe he expects guards outside the door. Anything was truly possible. ]
And I would very much like to know where I am.

If pushed, it was Vanyel's fault for making comments of wanting to see him.He just.. watches that reaction.
And is silent for a while longer because he really liked that view, he wouldn't be surprised if Vanyel did either. ]
I don't think I've traveled anywhere where the view of stars is so clear. There is always clouds, or lights of some sort dimming them.
Re: Video
[ It took a moment for Duke's words to register, Vanyel lost in the sight of so many stars, and not a little terrified. ]
There were some nights when I rode Circuit that it was like this. I have never seen stars before me rather than above, though.
Video
[ He likes it.
Even if it makes it hard to tell if it is 'day' or 'night'. ]
Re: Video
[ He does as Duke instructs, moving to the next, seeing what he meant. No horizon, just black and pin points of light for as far as they eye could see. No doubt even further than that. ]
I have never seen the like.
Video
[ He may have forgotten to sleep one or two nights from... staring into literal space. ]
Re: Video
Yes, very lovely to look at...
[ Daunting, but beautiful too. ]
Video
I think you can find a window that would be facing where the fleet is docked. I'm not sure which side it is.
Re: Video
Why is this ship separate from the fleet?
[ Why not simply just dump them in with the others? Why keep them apart? This ship was so very basic, he understood that without knowing why. Perhaps to help them adjust...? ]
Video
Perhaps to keep any outbursts inside that ship? I believe that the Marsiva is considered the lead of the fleet, and is a little nicer in some ways - aside from the obvious unable to leave for a while.
.. Perhaps so they can observe before joining?
Re: Video
Possibly. It would make sense to keep those of us with Gifts contained while we... adjust.
Video
[ He would not want to wake up somewhere and the next person who he interacted with decided to punch him, okay. ]
Re: Video
[ It was one to make friends, wasn't it? Bloodying their noses? Vaneyl's brothers were much like that, but he could not say he particularly liked them. ]
That does not do much for those waking up with them on the same ship.

Re: Video
Ah, I see your point. No need to incite a potential massacre.
Video
Re: Video
I shall count myself lucky I did not run into such a person. Or have not. Pray my luck holds.
[ He sincerely did not wish to shock someone to keep them from hurting others. ]
Video
I would hate to have to patch you up once you got off the Marsiva.
Re: Video
I would like to avoid such a thing as well. It doesn't make a very good impression, does it?
Video
But he's vaguely amused sounding. Yay?]
Re: Video
[ There's a comfortable silence that stretches as he watches the stars. He knew Duke wasn't one for talk, easy enough to let the quiet fill the space and still feel he is there. ]
