Who: Keith, Open
Broadcast: Yes
Action: Huntress, Blameless, or Iskaulit
When: starting August 17 and through the rest of the month

VIDEO
[The feed was a little shaky as Keith got settled. His voice was a little quiet for a moment.]
...how these happened so close together...
[He was definitely muttering to himself. The picture spun until it was facing him. He looked different. Tired, a little bruised up, older... he'd visibly aged further than Lance, Pidge, or Shiro. His hair was longer and even more grown out than before, and, when he turned to face the camera for real, there was a large burn scar along the right side of his face.]
Hey... just letting everyone know I'm back, I guess. It's weird how close this happened this time. But, yeah. In case you guys were wondering...
Oh, and, uh... thanks to whoever looked after Snow while I was gone. I appreciate it.
[And with that, he clicked off.]
=====
ACTION
[Keith could be found around the Huntress, the Iskaulit, or the Blameless. There might be a stop or two to the Bishop and the Tourist as well to check up on Pidge and Allura respectively. In person, he was a bit taller, and his shoulders were wider. Guess who's jacket didn't fit him anymore. His shirts were all a bit tight across the top now, too. He was going to need some new clothes when they get to the next system.]
=====
{OOC: Keith is back! Unlike his buddies, returning home dumped him into a quantum abyss that caused him to age two years faster than anyone else on the team. Once he got back from that trip to the team, he fought Shiro, and the two of them are pretty beat up because of it (hence Keith's new facial scar).}

Keith had been instrumental in all of it.
So while there is a small moment of hesitation, Allura relaxes ever so slightly and offers a weak smile in return. ]
I feel that I should be checking in on you instead. It hasn't been a full movement since you've returned, has it?
no subject
[He was back with them. They had saved Shiro. And now they had not just Coran, but Romelle and Krolia, too. They had a good family to travel together with, and that was important. They were going to make it work, even without the Castle.
He managed to give her a small smile. The two years on the space whale with his mom had made an impact on him.]
How were things here while we were gone?
no subject
[ She shouldn't need to be reminded of that, but perhaps she does. For as much as Allura is one to rally for team dynamic and teamwork, she tends to draw into herself with things like this. It is important to keep herself grounded. ]
It wasn't too difficult, though it was admittedly a little surprising to lose you right after my own arrival.
[ She nods, bidding him to follow her down the corridor. ]
Most assured that you would return, however...I did realize that was a possibility. At the time I thought it might be better if you hadn't, as we had much to accomplish, but...
[ Well.
Now that she knows what a mess home was... ]
no subject
[He fell into step with her.
That 'mess' back home needed fixing. And Keith knew it. They were going to do the best they could, just like they always did, but it wasn't going to be easy. Then again, it rarely was, lately.]
As long as you're okay... But, most of the time, if someone leaves and doesn't have a good chance of coming back, [There was always a chance.] then all their stuff disappears, too. So, since none of our stuff disappeared, that definitely means we're coming back. It seems to be about a week. It's happened to other people in the Fleet, too. Not just us.
[But, about that stuff to do back home.]
I think, because of all the crazy time stuff going on with some of us being from the future and some of us being from further in the past, it feels like no time passes from the point we arrive here to the point we go back home. Each time, I've just gone back like it's nothing. But, I don't remember being here. Then, when I come back, suddenly all that comes back to me again. It's weird.
no subject
[ That's very good to know since it seems likely to happen again. That explains why Ulaz hadn't been particularly worried. ]
That is very strange. That you can remember events of our home universe here but not the other way around...one would assume you would travel between both and recall both as well.
no subject
[Keith's tone sounded a little dark and bitter at that.]
But, considering we end up back at exactly the moment we were pulled from... I don't know. Maybe it's something to do with the passing of time.
[The others had all been shocked to see Keith had aged two years while he was gone from them. Maybe, whatever was dragging them into this universe was doing something to revert them back enough that no one back home would notice they'd been gone.]
no subject
[ She goes quiet for a moment, musing. ]
I suppose you would understand that better than anyone else at this point, wouldn't you?
[ Allura smiles, albeit lightly. ]
I feel that I should play a proper host. Would you like something to drink? The kitchen isn't anything like we had on the Castle, but it does have necessities.
no subject
[He understood where she was trying to go with that. He had gone through that quantum abyss, after all. Time slippage was kind of something he now knew about firsthand.
At her offer, though...]
Oh... you don't have do that. [He gave her a weak smile.] I'm okay. [Though, he'd likely relent if she insisted.]
no subject
[ Which means they're going to the kitchen. Allura is a stubborn host when it comes to her friends. ]
The Captain has introduced me to "peanut butter sandwiches". They're very sweet. Have you had one before?
no subject
Yeah, I have. Usually with some sort of fruit on it, but it's not bad. I find it's better with the fruit, but we don't really have that often here, so just the peanut butter isn't terrible.
[It was one of the closest things to Earth food he'd been able to get in a long time now.]
no subject
[ She is happy to hear that. ]
Do you have any recommendations? Perhaps we can get some at the next port.
[ The kitchen itself isn't much to be excited about, but she does know where the cups are. ]
We have water and some energy drink supplements. Oh, and coffee. Do you have a preference?
no subject
He shook his head a little at her question about a drink.]
Just water's fine.
no subject
[ She has no idea what those are. ]
Very well.
[ Water is easy enough to get--she offers him a bottle. Much easier. ]
As...interesting as this place can be at times, I am curious to see where we land. I haven't really had much opportunity to explore outside the fleet yet.
no subject
[Keith took the offered bottle and opened it easily.]
Yeah. We don't have much control on destination ourselves. The ships can only fly so far away from the Marsiva before they threaten to self-destruct. Then we have to turn them back. I don't think anyone actually pushed it past the limit the last time we tried. [So, yes... Keith had tried.] So, yeah... each new place is kind of a surprise.
