[she waves at the communication device and grins] So what the heck happened? Did all the journals get turned into little robot journals? It's really trendy and tech-forward, but I think I'm using mine wrong. I can't go back and see all the old entries. Who knows their way around these kind of things? I've got the basics down, but I'd appreciate the help.

Also! [the real thing that she wanted to ask, since it was kind of weirding her out... She's trying to keep a lid on her nerves, but an astute viewer might notice that she looks a touch nervous] I think I'm the only one on this ship? [little does she know that she has one other passenger wandering around the hospitality deck, but she hasn't run into her yet]

I guess that's not the worst thing in the world. We're all the captain of our own spaceships? [heh, Captain Maya... she should find a hat :3] And then maybe we all have to work together to explore that crazy looking planet down below. Alright, well I'm ready for adventure! Come on, space team, let's go! Exploration awaits!

And this isn't the castle. It's...somewhere new.

That's not very convincing enthusiasm...

I ran out of alcohol, my enthusiasm ability is currently at zero.

If it is, it's a very long world change, and it's lost of of the residents and swapped them for others.

No, I think the castle spat us out into some other...insane cosmic game of fuck you.

[if brains could make noises, Maya's would be screeching to a halt. She pauses, face falling a bit] Wait... what?

It passed us off to something else? Can that even happen?

Seems it has. There are residents from the castle here who have been missing for years, yourself included. And yet you all seem to think you're fresh from it.

[she pauses, partially unable to comprehend what she's hearing. Memories of Crowley were fuzzy, but she remembered him a little bit about him. He was a mainstay, heck she think that he arrived around the same time that she did. She's inclined to trust what he's saying, but it's a big pill to swallow]

I left Paradisa?

You did, a while back. So did...well, everyone here. I was there for almost six years before I found myself here.

[her stomach drops. Two years? Where... where was she? Didn't people go home if they left Paradisa? Or who knows, maybe she's just the Maya that was going to be sent home and then got intercepted.]

Wow... [but still, a public place is no place to be down. So she swallows hard and pulls the communicator closer]

So what do we know about this place? Is it like the castle?

[He sighs.]

Yes and no. We have these...chips in our heads, that make us good at something in particular. We're then split up on our ships and sent off to sail around, being watched by some otherworldly audience.

[it's almost comical how she reacts to everything he says. As he mentions the chip her hand raises to touch the back of her skull. The chip is a bit lower so she doesn't feel it yet, but she looks unnerved all the same. And then when he mentions being watched she starts a bit and looks over her shoulder... as if there will be a camera right there all of the sudden.]

So I got put on Ship Boring and Empty? [booo, but she'll figure it out eventually. And...]

So there's no losses here?

[He chuckles a little, watching her. ]

No, you're on the holding ship. Every Friday, they decide which ship you'll live on, which crew you'll join, and all that.

Nope, losses are gone, hooray for us.

I guess that's a silver lining. [but ughhhhh]

Geez... finally got the hang of the castle and now it's time to learn a whole new set of rules.

It's more a murky grey than silver, but yeah.

Right. But I guess we still have a leg up on anyone who just got kidnapped for the first time. [hopefully they'll be able to help anyone who is making that transition]

Do we know anything about how time works here? Like.. is it like the castle where no one will really notice that we're gone?

Well, that is true. We're used to otherworldly things messing with our lives.
