1 ► Escha's room, after 9/7 shuffle (network works, too!)
[ A short while back, she'd received a delivery from her friend, Percy, with instructions not to open unless something happened and she should find that he's gone. Well, that's... happened. And he's... gone. So, she's opened it.

And as if she wasn't already misty-eyed over the fact that he was gone, now she absolutely cannot stop crying. She's sitting on her bed, with his letter by her side, clutching a silver and brass pocketwatch tightly to her chest as tears stream down her cheeks.

Her device is sitting on her little makeshift desk, and it occasionally turns itself on just to pick up on her dismay. Because Atroma are jerks like that And her door is halfway open, and she'll look up if any crewmates or visitors come to check in on her, but there's no way she's going to be able to hide how upset she is -- even if she's trying her hardest to wipe her face dry with the sleeves of her coat. ]


2 ► Cargo hold, drift period ( on cats and what curiosity gets them )
[ Well... they have the boxes. And they fended off some pirates to make sure they kept the boxes! But she admittedly really wants to know what's inside the boxes - especially since Atroma aren't exactly great people, as far as she's aware... ]

I mean, I am curious... And we are outside of the system now, so maybe it won't just disappear! But... should we?

[ It's pretty obvious she can easily be talked into cracking the things open, or just leaving them alone~ So what'll it be? ]


3 ► Wildcard!
[ Escha spends the vast majority of her time in the lab, performing random experiments with whatever materials she can get her hands on. She makes time for anyone who comes to visit, though - and if anyone ever wants her to make something, she's happy to try! Healing items, explosives, random knickknacks that do crazy things... get creative, and so will she! Or even if you don't want anything, feel free to just stop by and make sure she's taking a much-needed break. Or actually sleeping. Or eating something other than cake. Oops...

She can also be seen shopping around, if still in the system! (Or in the next system!) She'll pick up some of the weirdest items and look very enthused about it~

[ Escha wasn't expecting to be overheard, and squeaks a bit in surprise! There's some shuffling noises, then the video clicks on - her eyes are red-rimmed, and she sniffles again, but she does attempt a small smile. ]

Ahh, s-sorry! Hello! I'm... [ Yep, nope, smile's gone. She shakes her head. ] My friend, Percy... he's gone. He got sent home. H-He wrote me a letter in case it ever happened, and I read it, a-and...

[ She trails off, unable to finish, since the waterworks start back up. ]

[Oh nooo that's just as bad as she'd expected.]

I'm so sorry! It's hard every time that happens... can I do anything for you? Oh, maybe bring you some sweets, keep you company? It's better to not be alone!

[ She hesitates, sniffling, then nods. ]

Company would be nice, if you really don't mind? [ She rubs at her eyes. ] I can make us some tea, if you want!

I don't mind at all! I'll be right over, sit tight! And tea would go really great with the cakes I've got.

[Time for a scrublord tea ceremony, or something.]

And ooh, do you like animals? I've got a couple that give good cuddles!

She nods again, already moving to get up to make the tea, and grateful for having something to focus on for the time being. Ochako is such a good friend...! If she's not careful she might start crying about that, too jfdksl ]

I like animals, yes! Though I hope they won't mind being cuddled and maybe cried on... [ At least she's honest? ]

[He'd been keeping a low profile, but he figured, as the ship's cook, he didn't really have a say in anything, anyway. The cargo they'd picked up had made him curious, though, and off he was to investigate only to find out he wasn't the only person here. He grunted in displeasure and almost moved to leave whenever she addressed him and he frowned.]

Open it? Why? What do you think's in it?

I'm not sure... It's something Atroma wants though, right? Shouldn't we at least make sure it isn't dangerous?

[ She bites her lip, thinking about it a little bit more. ]

What if it's something we don't actually want them to have?

[Before her addendum, Shinjiro was going to say something along the lines of "aren't they dangerous in the first place" but she corrected herself and he nodded.]

Yeah, I guess. Has this ever happened before?

I think so. I mean, it hasn't happened since I've been here, but I haven't been here long. I just heard others talking about Atroma making them deliver something before. I think they said it was gum?
