02 -- The Pirates of Penzance [OPEN]
Who: Freya Vaughan & YOU
Broadcast: Yes! [She is randomly broadcasting afar amount of these actions.]
Action: Relnyx Station & Nornyx Station
When: 8/25 – 9/09 -ish
Relnyx Station | Exploring & Swimming
[Freya will go out on a limb and try to convince anyone to come with her as she heads out to explore the stations in the area. She's feeling antsy after being on the ship for so long; even if it's only been a month or two. She rarely spends that long in any one location and she has the sinking suspicion that she'll be stuck there even longer than that.
Donned in a bathing suit, aka her underwear, and a pair of black punk pants, Freya heads off towards one of the poll/fall areas. She gets lost before finding her destination. Well, not lost. Freya doesn't get lots. She explores. It's completely different from being lost.
She hums a classical song as she wanders around. Her voice isn't great but it doesn't suck either.]
Do do dada da da
[Freya is a master at appearing places she doesn't belong and making it look like it's completely natural.]
Mm mm dada da da
[She arrives at one of the watery places in time and settles next to the pool. The people around them seem cool though they smell a little funny. It's interesting and Freya is curious.]
I am the very model of a modern Major-General,
I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral
[Her singing turns back to humming as she kicks the water and watches the waves bubble and boil at the force of her feet. She occasionally slips in the words to the song that she knows though it's been forever since she's heard the well-known song. She knows the Animaniacs version better.]
I'm very good at integral and differential calculus;
I know the scientific names of beings animalculous:
In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I am the very model of a modern Major-General.
[Freya flicks on her communication device, mostly to see if it'll broadcast.]
So, the planet isn't all that great but this place is pretty cool. Has anyone else checked it out?
[She might be bored.]
Nornyx Station | Bar Fights
[Freya doesn't go looking for trouble but she finds it. It's... an accident, really. She's wandering around. Not lost. Finds a shady bar and oh look! Those people are talking about doing something that sounds very illegal. It would have been easier to call them pirates if they'd been wearing very large floppy hats but they aren't. It's a shame that the classics are ignored out here... in space.
She listens and it sounds like people might get hurt if these guys succeed. What ship is their target? Should she do something or maybe just ignore it?
Freya is not human but she isn't a fan of fighting either.
With a drink in hand, she contemplates the best thing to do.
Maybe if she starts a bar fight. That'll get people in here and be mildly entertaining and maybe mess things up for the group she's listening too.
Freya takes one of the bouncy balls she'd acquired and tosses it behind her at the perfect moment to discreetly trip a man walking by and he goes flying into one of the side tables. Woops. It doesn't take much longer for fists to start flying. Of course, Freya is now smack dab in the middle of the madness.
Well, shit. She hadn't thought that part through.
Broadcast | Help Wanted
[There is a commotion behind Freya as she slips around bodies that are at least twice the size of her.]
I may or may not have started a bar fight. If anyone is in the area and can help me get out of said fight… please let me know.
[She flicks off the device before someone decks her in the face.
Now... if only she could get to the door.]

BAR FIGHT
This doesn't look like a board game, [he points out before getting jumped]
BAR FIGHT
Freya blinks in surprise as Cloud diverts all and any attention away from her by flipping a guy. The guy looks drunk enough to walk it off though she really isn't too worried about it.] Oh, hey. [Freya is depressingly short and Cloud's arrival presents her with a perfect shield to hide behind.]
Well, yeah but when you're a rouge and you just happen to roll a 1 on your stealth check. [She steps gracefully out of the way as someone runs past them.] So a rouge, a bard and a warrior all walk into a bar...
[Her bad joke is cut off by a man throwing a chair across the room.]
So how are you?
[Asked like there isn't a fight raging around them.]
no subject
I've been thinkin' about that game thing you told me about. [whup, this guy has a bottle- steps out of the way, kicks the back of his knees. he goes down and doesn't get up because he's a drunk ass motherfucker] I'm not the uh- ack, not really the creative type. But I apparently need a hobby.
no subject
I can totally tell you more and be creative for you but you didn't seem all that interested the first time I posed the idea.
[She doesn't want to spend an afternoon listening to him complain though she can also tailor the game to something he might enjoy more.]
Oh! The guy in the back corner has been staring at us and I think he's going to charge the left side while that other dude with a bottle goes for your right. Just a heads up. [Freya is still watching everyone though she has a feeling that Cloud can take care of himself.]
no subject
I was kind of grumpy when you posed it, so... [Not that that's an excuse. Catches the wrist of bottle guy and swings him around into the dude who charged them] -Oof, I mean, I just haven't ever done that sorta thing before. I think I'm probably bad at it.
no subject
I'm also going to take that as a mini-apology.
But anyway, if you really want to give it a try. We can just do it with both of us. I promise I don't care if you're bad at it. [There are a lot of things that Freya is bad at too... like actually landing a punch.]
that fight; because you know this would happen
Until someone slams into his table and spills his beer. To his credit, the guy looks up...a lot...to the Bull and tries to scramble away. With a look of almost disappointment, Bull shakes his head, snaps a quick punch at the guy's jaw, knocking him cold but doing little else, and grabs the unconscious guy by the shirt collar.]
Hey, boys! This one's yours!
[And he shoves the guy back in the direction of the fight. That should have been the end of it, but it looked like some of them weren't too keen on the idea of someone else joining in. The Bull cracked his knuckles.]
Yeah, okay. [And he flashes a grin.] Next!
that fight; lol
[Freya isn't an avid swearer but then she notices The Steve getting up to join the fight... how can you not swear when facing huge tracks of muscle?
For her part, she's spent most of the tussle gracefully avoiding the fight. So far, no one has pinned the bouncy ball back on her though that's likely due to the crowds collective IQ. They aren't the most unobservant group ever.
There is no point to try and show over the fighting but she tries to catch The Steve's eye and waves at him with a happy smile.]
no subject
Come on! You started this. I'm just finishing it.
no subject
She sidesteps a guy charging at her and enjoys watching him close-line himself by the bar. Freya then proceeds to make her way closer to the Steve's side. A step here or a slight tilt of her body there. She places a hand on one mans back and gently encourages him to intercept another man's fist by dodging in the right direction at the right time. Fighting isn't Freya's strength, not directly, but she knows how to survive and she moves gracefully to do that.
After a few minutes she's nearly at the large Bull's side.]
Hey, first of all. I am not shouting across a room at you. Second of all. I didn't throw the first punch. Third of all, it's really fun to watch you finish the fight because it's like ants meet wall and the physics is great.
no subject
Idiots. Well, they can finish it. I'm done.
no subject
Yeeeah, Same.
[Freya looks up at the Bull with a bright smile.]
I didn't know you'd be here. How are you?
no subject
[But he doesn't seem to be explaining that point any further.]
I've been okay. How are you settling in?
no subject
[As much sense as it can make. Freya gets it... sorta.]
Oh. I'm good. It's kind of confining though. It's nice to bet out but I keep inching to run. There aren't any good places around here.
no subject
You check out that mountain over on the Iskaulit yet?
no subject
[She twists her hand around her wrist in a circular motion before slipping behind the Ironbull so that she's completely out of sight of those at the bar. He might had declared himself not involved but Freya knows that she looks like a rather easy target and would rather not have to focus on it.]
I might start a training thing or something. I have too much energy.

video - Relnyx
Without Severa, Cynthia, Noire and Kjelle, Lucina defaults to extremely serious and rather boring, she supposes. If anything, this girl sort of reminds her of the best of Severa and Cynthia, but without any of the seriousness of her self-proclaimed best friend.]
I wasn't aware that the stations had pools. There's one on the Iskaulit that I've seen a lot of people use before now.
no subject
The last few days have been boring which lead to her wandering adventure at one of the stations. An adventure that happens to involve a map that she occasionally checks as she wanders around.]
This is pretty cool though. This whole place has kind of a water esque feel to it.
But you know.
In space.
no subject
[The Iskaulit still has a lot of places Lucina hasn't checked out.]
I suppose I understand what you mean. It's a little difficult to imagine a water resort in the vastness of space. But then a lot about this place is strange.
no subject
[Pools and pups have gone hand-in-hand for years and Freya is no exception. Nothing is as satisfying as puppy-paddling across a pool.]
Truth.
They should have like anti-gravity spheres of water for people to swim in.
no subject
[Lucina normally does not, because the Caprine, Bloodsport, Heron and Blameless really are the only ships she cares about, but even with the freedom to move between them.... It's boring during drifts and she knows she needs to branch out. What better way than with a ship mate on the illusive open ship.]
I... As someone who comes from a world with magic, that would just look like trouble to me. I would much prefer if what I'm swimming in had boundaries I could see.
no subject
[Freya feels itchy if she stays on two legs for too long and Iskaulit is the only place that really has enough space for her to run. She can't run very far but circles have their own charm. Hunting is the one thing she misses the most.]
That's true but if it's a sphere it has no end.
[That might not be a plausible idea but Freya will continue to keep it in mind.]
no subject
[Not that Lucina knows anything about the difference between two and four feet. She's no Taguel or Dragonkin, unlike Panne, Yarne, Nowi or Nah. She'd have to ask them.]
I would argue that a sphere has an end if you fall out of it on the ground below.
no subject
[Though Freya's idea of enough room is a ridiculous amount of space. She's never been confined like this and it's slowly driving her insane.]
Technically you can fall out of a side, even if it isn't an end. It's like... a tangential end.
no subject
[Because the ships are too small for anything besides sleeping and eating in her opinion.]
My point is that spheres do have edges, of sorts. And if you're talking about one made out of nothing but water to swim in without a defined border, I am wary of it. Falling is not something I wish to do.
