Video | Action - Red Fish, Iskaulit
Who: Nico and OTA
Broadcast: Video
Action: Red Fish, Iskaulit
When: Now
[ Red Fish ]
[Nico is not a fan of being stuck places. Especially unfamiliar places. Most especially unfamiliar places in space. (Not that he's ever been to space.) Shadow travel won’t get him home. He doesn’t even know where home is.
He's already been whisked away from one weird ship onto another. He finds the armory easy enough, but is disappointed to see there are only guns. No swords? Thanks to his augment, he knows how to handle them, however, and he'd rather not be in a stange place with no protection. He grabs one looks it over critically before heading off to see the rest of the ship.]
[ Iskaulit ]
[And later he'll be wandering the Iskaulit, doing much the same. Mapping it out, noting any important details, and most of all, observing the people he comes across - either openly or standing in darkened corners, cloaked in shadow. (Totally not creepy.)]
[ Video ]
[Much later, squirreled away in his bunk, he turns the communication device over and over in his hand, frowning all the while. Demigods didn’t usually carry things like this around – they attracted monsters. But there weren’t any monsters here, were there? Not like back on his world.
But despite what people may think of a kid born in the ‘30s, he wasn’t completely technologically challenged. He’s already figured out how to turn it on.
Have a nice clean shot of the wall, and a voice somewhat distorted because the communicator is facing the wrong way.]
I’m guessing not everyone here is content with being kidnapped and hurled through space. So who wants to clue me in one what we’re up against and how we’re going to kick it’s butt?
[He was just starting to figure things out back home. He didn’t need more crap thrown in his face, thanks.]

voice.
He sounds pretty tired, like he just woke up or something.]
You're not going to be able to do anything.
[Yikes.]
no subject
Maybe not. But something is better than nothing.

no subject
So do nothing then. Awesome. [He sighs, and rolls his eyes (not that that is visible).] I wanted a break anyway.
no subject
[Maybe he sounds paranoid, but he also sounds more serious than before.]

[He was still trying to grasp the whole reality TV thing. It sounded like some of the stuff the gods watched on Hephaestus TV. Why would anyone want to watch a bunch of people puttering around on ships? From what he'd witnessed so far, it didn't seem terribly exciting.
Still. It was concerning if "they" could hear and see everything. Even gods had limits.]
But, fine. I guess you have a point.

Just a friendly warning.

She comes to a stop as she's passing by and turns to stare directly into Nico's corner, head tilted, staring back. But at least she isn't completely creepy about it. Just curious]
Hello. [see, she's polite and greeting him. Totally not creepy]
no subject
He stares back for a few seconds, not responding right away. And then he lets the shadows drop and takes a step forward.]
Hi?
no subject
She smiles when he steps out of the shadows, folding her hands in front of her] Hi. I'm sorry I called you out while you were hiding.
no subject
[He feels a flush of embarrassment - he was totally hiding - but schools his expression.]
I was observing. Anyway, it's fine. You're the first one to notice.
no subject
[her head tilts again] I'm the first? Heeeh. [there's some amusement in her hum] What's your name? You're new, right? I haven't seen you around before.
no subject
New. Yeah. My name is Nico.

Either way, he stopped and glanced around. It was hard to pinpoint. He just... felt it, a weird thing about himself that he never really talked about. Finally, he just crossed his arms, looking stubborn and rather petulant for a moment.]
I know you're there, so you might as well come out now.
[He might not where the person was, but there was definitely someone nearby who was being creepy.]
no subject
[Even if it was kind of funny to watch. He waves the shadows away, but doesn't move away from the corner he'd tucked himself into. Instead he crosses his arms and leans back.]
I'm not here for you.
no subject
Why would you be here for me?
[That was an odd phrase to use. Keith frowned a bit. Stalking, following, watching... sure... but 'here for'? That implied he was waiting for someone in particular, and potentially looking to take them somewhere.]
no subject
[He frowns, crossing his arms.]
I'm just trying to figure out what kind of people are here.
[And maybe hoping to see someone familiar. So far, it didn't look like anyone else from his world had been brought here, though. Figures.]
no subject
[Keith frowned a bit.]
Well, this is a good place to see everyone. Pretty much everyone comes over to this ship at some point.
Who are you?
no subject
[It seemed to be a fairly high-traffic area.
He hesitates, but decides there's no harm in giving a name.]
Nico. You?

"You look like you know how to use one of those."
no subject
Okay. That's an interesting look. No judgement.
Back to the gun.]
Um. No. I mean, yes, I guess I do now... [This augment thing is weird.] I've never used one before though.
no subject
[Oh well, someday someone who arrived would share the same penchant for weaponry he did.]
"If it is only now that you recognize it..."
[Flug glances from the gun back to the individual.]
"You must be the new security officer."
no subject
[He rolls his eyes and tucks the weapon in his belt.]
Apparently. You're part of the crew then?
no subject
[And here he had took that to mean you were just looking around! He moves his coat to show he also has a strange form of firearm.]
"I am. I am Dr. Flug Slys, Captain of this vessel and Engineer. You have found yourself aboard the Red Fish."
no subject
[He eyes the other's weapon, but withholds judgement. Strange guy on a strange ship - why not a strange weapon?]
So you're the one in charge here? Is it doctor or captain?

I am about to hiatus sadly, but if you need me for anything/want to pick this back up just lmk
No prob! We can end it here.
