[Well, he does look vaguely like himself even if he's quite clearly not Galra anymore, with tanned skin and non-pointed ears. He still has the white mohawk and the markings on the side of his head appear to be... tattoos?]

Well, this is not something that I was expecting to have happen. It appears that this time, I am no longer Galra. I seem to be human.

I mean no offense to the humans here, but this is a strange experience for me. I can already tell this form is not as strong and I seem to be a little shorter? I wonder what else is different.

Action
[Ulaz can be found on the Blameless, doing his normal work in the lab and other duties he has been assigned either as part of being First Mate or taking on because of Shiro's temporary restrictions. Of course, he would also be checking on his patients or seeking out Procyon at some point to see the lovely dog.

On the Iskaulit, he was probably in the library, which wasn't exactly the most exciting. The other place he could be found was the obstacle course he used for training. After a few days of thinking this was weird, he decided to use this as a learning experience, seeing how this body differed from the one that he was used to so he was going to try and train as normal]

_{[ The obstacle course was one of his favorite places on all the ships. Between running and the challenge, it was a way to alleviate boredom, and tire himself out in the necessary ways he needed for a good night's rest. His golden puppy ears and tail were making it a little more difficult this time around though.

He yelped as he passed through a certain part, the very end of his tail catching, and he tumbled, twisting to look at his tail... and hoping nobody saw that. ]}

[Ulaz was still warming up (he felt he had to do that more in this form) when he heard the yelp from someone else who was using the course as well. He was still quick, moving to see who it was. It wasn't hard, finding a certain captain in the course... with ears and a tail. This place never ceased to amaze him. Lots of people ending up with animal features.

Are you alright?

_{[ Kirk looked up, at first not sure who he was looking at. But a
slightly different form didn't change his hair or his voice. And he knew
that voice. He had always been good with voices. He pouted, his ears
swiveling out to the sides and down. ]}

Yeah, I'm fine. I keep forgetting the tail aids an extra foot.

_{[ He rubbed his behind with a grumble. ]}

Seems like you got a makeover too.

[He wakes up with ears and a tail, and Shiro just sighs. Thanks, Atroma, what a pal. He doesn't let that stop him from his daily routine, though, so he wakes up early, goes for his run, and comes back just in time for breakfast.]

Good mor-- [Shiro's eyes widen, and his ears and tail perk up when he sees who is in the kitchen already. It can't be - can it?] -ning. Ulaz? Is that you?

[Aside from not being a gray-purple color and changes to his face shape, Ulaz still did look very similar, hairstyle and markings included. Even so it had been enough to jar him initially too]

I would imagine it does. Of course, hard to remember when you have never had one before. Those who do tend to remember it.

It seems I did. Apparently the glitch thought I needed to be human for a time.

[Ulaz is definitely in the kitchen when Shiro walks in. He has been up for a while. His glitch had awoken him and then... other things had come up to keep him awake. He had skipped his usual workout this morning in favor of trying to adjust to this new form.

So he is there with a cup of coffee and some toast more or less lost in thought when Shiro enters. Well, the glitch apparently liked giving people animal features this time. That's two just on the Blameless...]

{Hux had met Ulaz at their usual time for their training. He had seen the broadcast, but it didn't fully hit him till he saw Ulaz in person. Ulaz was human. He could spot the similarities of his original self. It would be different training with him now. Hux couldn't help but incline his head out of curiosity.]

How are you adjusting to your new form?

It is interesting. Basic physical structure is the same, but the specific dynamics? That is very different. It's a good learning experience though I suppose.

[Yes, it will be interesting, but Ulaz had been loath to call it off. Both because Hux needed the practice, but also because it was a chance for him to try out a human form in a sparring session]

It certainly has a mind of its own, that I can say.

How's it feel? Being human?

Even on some beings who have always had one, they tend to have a mind of their own.

It is different being human. I can notice the difference. I am not quite as strong as I normally am, the agility is different, and I am very slightly shorter.

[He's still really tall, but Kirk might notice the pants he wore seemed like they were a few inches too long on the leg at the moment. Which probably wasn't helping with normal training]

But still pretty damn tall by human standards.

Have you gone to Biffy or Lance? They could probably help you temporarily hem those, until you're back to normal. I had to have temporary holes put in mine for the tail.

_{[ He turned to show Ulaz, the silky appendage indeed poking out from a
tailored hole in the back of his pants. ]}

Hmm... I may have to approach Biffy then. He's on my ship so he is convenient to find.

[He glanced at the tail poking out of the pants] It seems this is a common affliction for many.

The animal traits? Yes, I was noticing. I'm not sure what to make of being turned into a half-dog.

_{[ His ears flicked back and forth, tail giving a little swish. ]}

I definitely feel like a message is being sent with this particular choice.

[Handsome, he finds suddenly thinking, and wow where did that come from? He clears his voice as he approaches Ulaz for a better look.]

[Yep, he is definitely human. The strangest part is the fact he still has the markings on either side of his head, which look like tattoos here. Well, unless you considered a white mohawk as normal for a human]

I am. I knew people got turned things, just didn't realize I'd get turned human.

Physically I am fine. Just tired. The glitch woke me and I wasn't able to go back to sleep.

[Completely unrelated to his glitch, but he had promised Lyall so that was staying unmentioned]

I'm not sure if there is a meaning to it. Biffy had felines ears and tail which I find ironic since werewolves are similar to dogs.

Possible. What point would they be trying to make with that?

[Biffy has been popping in and out for the first few days to pick up ice packs while Lyall just hid in their quarter to lick his wounds.

After a few days, he eventually wanders out, dressed as impeccably as possible and as it goes, his usual attire hides all of the scrapes and bruises and lashes and wounds. Pure luck or just something his actual abuser knew and did on purpose? Who knows.

His first stop will be the sick bay again because he needs to give more thanks than he has back when he was out of it. And now Ulaz's changed appearance dos hit him more as he comes him.]

Good day, Mr. Ulaz. I wanted to come and thank you again for your help. That hair really looks terrible on you, by the way.

[Ulaz had thought that they might need more ice packs than normal given the situation so he had requested more than his normal supply the same day as seeing Lyall's injuries. It had paid off because Biffy had been coming in on a regular basis to pick up more. Each day he was requesting more and going through them.

He was pleased when Biffy's visits for ice packs slowed, a sign that Lyall no longer needed them to manage his pain.

He is in the lab this morning, doing his usual check to make sure everything was where it was supposed to be. Not that he forgets, but it keeps him busy, ensures nothing is out of date, and lets him know if supplies are disappearing when he is not there.

He looks up when Lyall walks in, maybe not in his best attire, but enough to look put together and closer to normal. Since Ulaz knows the locations of the injuries and the nature of the abuser, he's not surprised to see that nothing shows when properly dressed.

A faint smile does cross his face at seeing the werewolf up and about. He's glad to see it]

Good day, Lyall. It's not a problem. It is good to see you up and doing better.

[The last part makes him stop, not having expected it. He's more confused by it than anything else]

[Because really, who would think that having a tuft of hair on top is a good look on anyone? Maybe some of the barbarians from the New World, but no one civilized.

Somehow, he hadn't found it jarring when Ulaz was purple with pointy ears, but when he's human like that... no. Really, no.

Besides, speaking about this allows him to not speak of what happened when Ulaz found him on the bathroom floor. He got better, even if he's not great yet, and he said his thanks, so now it can be forgotten and never mentioned again.]

I understand you probably did not choose to have it look that way, since your current appearance is a glitch as well. Still, it would be hard for it to be flattering on anyone, really.

[It's all rage with Galra though. A lot of commanders and med technicians wore this style.

Maybe it was better when he was a Galra rather than when he was a human. He hadn't noticed it being weird before, even after the glitch started, but then again, it was his hair that he'd had for a while]

No, it was not something I had control over with the glitch. It was better when I was in my normal state?

Humans have been turned into other species, so I guess for you the reverse worked. But you're still very tall for a human.

[He's a bit amused by that, but part of him is also like nooooot faiiiiir!]

I know that feeling. I can tell you some tricks if you want to try to nap later? But I'm not sure if your inner workings are also human.

It was... less jarring, somehow? I am not sure why. The combination of it with your skin tone and overall appearances didn't seem so out of place. But now...

[Lyall gives a small shrug.]

There might not be much to do about but wait it out. Unfortunate.

Hmm... I suppose that is it possible. It was the way you always saw me so perhaps it was simply normal.

No, I don't think there is much I can do about it at the moment. I doubt it will grow out to a point where anything could be done to change it and since it is a glitch, it may do no good to even wait for it.

Seems like it. Am I? I never had a comparison before, but given the number around here, I noticed this didn't seem like an average height.

I think that will be necessary today. I would appreciate any advice.
