[Well, he does look vaguely like himself even if he's quite clearly not Galra anymore, with tanned skin and non-pointed ears. He still has the white mohawk and the markings on the side of his head appear to be... tattoos?]

Well, this is not something that I was expecting to have happen. It appears that this time, I am no longer Galra. I seem to be human.

I mean no offense to the humans here, but this is a strange experience for me. I can already tell this form is not as strong and I seem to be a little shorter? I wonder what else is different.

Action
[Ulaz can be found on the Blameless, doing his normal work in the lab and other duties he has been assigned either as part of being First Mate or taking on because of Shiro's temporary restrictions. Of course, he would also be checking on his patients or seeking out Procyon at some point to see the lovely dog.

On the Iskaulit, he was probably in the library, which wasn't exactly the most exciting. The other place he could be found was the obstacle course he used for training. After a few days of thinking this was weird, he decided to use this as a learning experience, seeing how this body differed from the one that he was used to so he was going to try and train as normal]

[He wakes up with ears and a tail, and Shiro just sighs. Thanks, Atroma, what a pal. He doesn't let that stop him from his daily routine, though, so he wakes up early, goes for his run, and comes back just in time for breakfast.]

Good mor-- [Shiro's eyes widen, and his ears and tail perk up when he sees who is in the kitchen already. It can't be - can it?] -ning. Ulaz? Is that you?

[Ulaz is definitely in the kitchen when Shiro walks in. He has been up for a while. His glitch had awoken him and then... other things had come up to keep him awake. He had skipped his usual workout this morning in favor of trying to adjust to this new form.

So he is there with a cup of coffee and some toast more or less lost in thought when Shiro enters. Well, the glitch apparently liked giving people animal features this time. That's two just on the Blameless...]

[Handsome, he finds suddenly thinking, and wow where did that come from? He clears his voice as he approaches Ulaz for a better look.]

I am. I knew people got turned things, just didn't realize I'd get turned human.

Physically I am fine. Just tired. The glitch woke me and I wasn't able to go back to sleep.

[Completely unrelated to his glitch, but he had promised Lyall so that was staying unmentioned]

Humans have been turned into other species, so I guess for you the reverse worked. But you're still very tall for a human.

[He's a bit amused by that, but part of him is also like nooooot faiiiiir!]

I know that feeling. I can tell you some tricks if you want to try to nap later? But I'm not sure if your inner workings are also human.

Seems like it. Am I? I never had a comparison before, but given the number around here, I noticed this didn't seem like an average height.

I think that will be necessary today. I would appreciate any advice.

It definitely isn't. I'm already pretty tall on the human scale.

[A nod. He can do that, he's good at giving advice. He's not good a following it, but details.]

We can work on whatever you need. Have you been able to consume food and drinks with no issues?

Then no, this is not average height. [He is still taller than Shiro and if he was tall for a human...]

I haven't tried a lot, but toast and coffee have been fine. [What passed for toast on the ships...]

[He nods, at least it sounds like Ulaz's organs are working fine, thankfully.]

If anything makes you feel unwell, stick to the gels. Those are supposed to be for all species, I believe. [Like the goo at home! Who knows if this human body Ulaz got has any kind of allergies or the like. He wouldn't put it past Atroma.] And even if you can't sleep, if you're tired, you should take it easy. Rest and get used to the new body. The lab can go unattended for a day.

I suppose those are a better option. These sounded like the better options of what was available.

[Even he's not quite sure if that's just what he wanted or if that had something to do with the change. He nodded in response to the comment about resting]

And if I am really needed, I don't plan on being off the ship.

[Not like he didn't overwork with it anyway...]

I think that is a good idea for today.

Coffee and toast are good, don't worry. I was just giving you options in case you end up needing them. You can never tell with Atroma glitches.

[Seeing as Ulaz seems to be fine for now, Shiro moves to get some tea for himself, but his new ears stay perked up in attention, a mix of both worry and curiosity over Ulaz's new body.]

Ulaz, we have the communicators. As long as you have your with you at all times, it's ok to leave the ship. I don't expect you to be on call in the lab 24/7. That's impossible. But I do agree that for today, at least, you should rest. You should do that more often in fact.

I meant specifically today being off the ship, not every day. This does not seem like a good day to be wandering off too far. Too much is different.

Fair enough. Thankfully the glitches aren't happening while we're at a system, so there won't awkward or dangerous situations in the middle of something. [He sips his tea while taking a new look at Ulaz. Human suits him, he must admit.] Are you gonna test how much is different or just rest? We could choose a movie or game.

Yes, that would be awkward. People showing up with animal ears, as animals themselves, with weird powers. [Ulaz takes a sip of his coffee for a moment]

Yes, I am going to test, but not today. Right now I am adjusting. Perhaps we could do one of those. A movie perhaps.

Are you calling my new ears awkward?

[His tone is obviously teasing. He knows he looks weird right now - he feels weird, to be fair.]

That works. Any preferences? Have you even gotten used to the different genres human fiction has?

No more than my new ears are awkward.

[It's deadpan, but the slight quirk of a smile shows more on his human face than it did when he was a Galra. He was joking around too]

I believe so. "Action" would be preferable. I leave an actual selection to you.

[What's with aliens and human ears? They're perfectly fine! Just a little smaller! But hey, it's good to see Ulaz joking around, it means he feels well. And actually getting to notice that smile more? Bonus!]

[He just kind of smirks at Shiro's comment about him sounding like Allura. He may have realized that was a very Altean comment.

[When Ulaz arrives, Shiro has put up a selection of movies to choose from on the computer.]

Here, make your choice. I have some things in my tablet, too, but those are things I've picked in different planets. I can't speak for the quality of all of them.

[Ulaz gets his snack and heads to the lounge where he can join Shiro. He sits down, looking over the options to see what they were. He frowned at them, curious as to what they might be. He had no idea what they could be, but he is interested by one title]

I am sure it is nothing like their world, but I am curious about "American Werewolf in London".

[Shiro blinks for a second, taken by surprise, before laughing really hard.]

You're right, it has nothing to do with their world at all. We can watch it, but be sure they're ok with teasing if you want to go for that kind of thing, ok?

[He isn't sure if this counts as insulting to their people or what, to be honest.]

I don't think I would. If it is supposed to be parody of werewolves, they likely wouldn't be happy with it. Still it sounded the most interesting thing to watch of the set.

[It did bring that smile back to his face though as Shiro laughed]
