[Hux began to feel other people's emotions, hear their thoughts, and sense people's presences. It was as if the small wall he built around himself had shattered and he was being overwhelmed with all these senses. Hux couldn't sleep or concentrate. He tried his best to compartmentalize everything and couldn't. He didn't know what was his or theirs. His carefully put together world was falling apart around him.

He first thought it was the Force, but it seemed that that he couldn't do anything else that he knew the Force was related to. Yet, his view of the Force was narrow minded and he only had Kylo Ren as a main example of a Force user. He had only seen it being used in destructive ways.[

I'm sorry did you say something?

[Hux muttered to a near by passerby as he wandered through the corridors. He wasn't sure if that person had been directly talking to him or he was hearing the person's thoughts. It can be interpreted either way.

What ever the case it was wearing thin for him. He really didn't understand what was causing this ability at all. He just wanted it to go away. Right now he just wanted to find a quiet place in the ship to hide away from everyone.]

[This particular bar was a new establishment for Hux. He was used to frequenting the one he originally found when he first arrived. He really should check out other places. This place appeared to have more taste in it's appearance.

It takes a while before Hux can decide on a drink, wanting something strong and something that would probably knock him out later so he can have an uninterrupted sleep of people's thoughts.

He noted that Lyall was quickly served and that the drink was pretty strong just by the smell on it alone. It surprised him that he would be able to drink something that strong. He couldn't help but wrinkle his nose and tried not to imagine what was in it. He didn't look to be the type that would. But then Hux should know very well that appearances are deceiving.]

I gather that this is a place you like to frequent?

[He doesn't look the type because he normally isn't the type. intoxication is not how he usually deals with things. It's juts that this time, he got hit really hard and it has... maybe not helped, but taken the edge off. And he doesn't have a pack to keep an eye on here so he can indulge a little.]

I have my usual haunts, yes.

[He actually knows all of those places, but he doesn't need to say that.]

[The wolf howl grows stronger for just a moment as he says that.]

[He gave a nod in understanding. He had a few places he had come to frequent since he became part of the fleet.]

[He replied and offered his hand out to shake. As he did so he held a curious case as he tried to interpret the sound he just heard.]

... Is everything alright?

[The man had mentioned hearing things before. If he is at the same time as the conversation it probably makes things... difficult to follow.]

I'm sorry, but there's no way to really explain this with out being too forward. I hope you forgive my blunt approach.

[Hux stated as he put his glass back down.]

Since your approach I keep hearing this animal. It's making some kind of strange noise. I'm not familiar with the creature and have no way to compare it to you. But it only seems to be around you. Sometimes the sound drowns you out completely so I end up having to ask you again what you had said to me. I have to say it's the most peculiar experience I've had since this...glitch... has happened.

[Thankfully, Lyall has a good idea of what the 'animal' is.]

Does it sound anything like this?

[And he's going to give him a rather good, if low-volume, impression of a wolf howl, which indeed will sound similar.]

That would be the sound I kept hearing.

[Hux replied in a heart beat of hearing the sound.]

Ah.

[Lyall doesn't look very surprised by this.]

It's probably because I am a werewolf. But can you normally hear these things or is this due to the glitch?

[He shook his head no.]

I wouldn't have noticed till now. I don't think I could handle this if I had to deal with it all the time. It's hard enough for this short time.

....What is a werewolf?

[It appeared to be common for Lyall judging by how he casually answered him. But he wasn't familiar with the term itself.]

.... It might the first time I meet someone who has no even heard the term. Most peopel know it even if they have these weird notions about it.

To put it simply, I am not human anymore. I turn into a wolf during the full moon, and I can change at will between the two forms the rest of the time.

Oh.....I suppose I can get the jest of it. You can basically change into an animal. I have never seen a wolf before or heard of one till I met you. Why does the full moon causes you to change?

Well, there are many theories, but we have yet to find a suitable explanation. then again, the moon has many an influence on the Planet, why not on werewolves?

You might meet some wolves on some of the planets we visit. It's a canine species. Werewolves tend to be bigger than normal wolves. And... well, we are not technically alive anymore. I suppose you could call us undead?

[And yet still looking pretty spry. And barely over thirty.]

[He titled his head some more. There were a lot of terms he was not familiar with, but he was kind of getting an idea.]

Undead as in immortal? Meaning you can live forever?

[He was familiar with that. He had heard various stories in references and in his history books, but it wasn't something he heavily researched either.]

Much longer than humans, at the very least.

[As in, he can be killed, but he's not going to tell you how just yet.]

You do appear to be human yourself. I am surprised you have never seen or heard of a wolf. Although I have been brought to understand people come from different worlds, so maybe yours simply doesn't have them.

My world tends to be very different from most of the worlds I have come across so far. We also have very different creatures. Although, I think it's safe to say that some of your species might be represented in some way.

I feel that most of the people I have encountered have some from some variation of the planet called Earth. We don't have such a planet in the world I'm from.

Well... I have heard of worlds where the Planet was significantly different from what I know, but one where the Planet does not even exist? This is a new one.

[He's... not sure what to say to that.]

Then we've both learned something new. With their being no full moon due to living on a space ship.... Does this change things for you at all?

I thought it might get complicated, but we do appear to follow a regular schedule, somehow. The cycle is even the same as on Earth, so that makes it easy to predict when we need to be locked up for everyone's safety.

So changing then this is considered a bad thing. You don't have control of yourselves during this time?

[Up until then Hux didn't understand why this was considered a curse, now he was starting to get the full picture.]

We can change at will most of the time and keep our wits, except during the full moon. The wolf fully takes over then. We lock ourselves up to make sure we do not hurt anyone during that time.

I believe now I can understand why it's considered a curse and why the full moon is not a good thing for your people. I appreciate your time in answering this possibly personal questions.
