[The Marsiva had become boring after the first day of having absolutely nothing to do. He'd spent the time trying to understand what was going on, and then decided napping was probably the best thing since he was stuck anyway. Which is why he was in the middle of a trance-like nap when the Atroma jingle went off and he exploded onto the First Breath's kitchen with confetti and questionable looking chocolate pudding cups.

Taako blinked, then dusted the confetti off his clothes and wizard's hat. The first thing he saw was the sad state of this kitchen, and Taako put his hands on his hips with a sigh.]

Is this seriously what they want me to work with?

2. Cargo: Salvage
[After settling into the crew, Taako immediately went out salvaging. Something about that seemed to be the right thing to do, so he is dragging bits of metal sheeting, wires, robot parts, and sacks full of gears and pieces into the cargo hold. The planet is basically made for looting, so he's doing his level best to loot the shit out of it. He also has a Mage Hand - an invisible force - carrying several lush looking throw pillows trimmed in various colored fringe and blankets.

When he comes onto the ship, when he sees someone in here, he immediately motions to them.]

You, person whose name I totally remember, go grab the rest of this, hm? I'm not exactly the brawn type.

Planetside

1. Shopping
[You cannot expect Taako to go to a world of literal shopping and not come back with all the craziest shit. But sadly, he does not have a lot of money since he is recently arrived and was not part of this cargo haul that apparently got some people money and others not so much. Which means Taako has to do what Taako does best and improvise.

And he's doing a goddamn God Tier job at it. He's getting new outfits pieced together from clothing crates lost to the dumps, he's getting new throw pillows, blankets, random knick-knacks, and he's trying to find some goddamn weapons just because how bitchin' would it be to roll around the galaxy with a pair of machine guns strapped to his back? Totally, that's how much.

But he still has no money, so he'll slide over to the closest person in the same store as him and smile.]

Hey there, thug, you wanna help me with something?

2. Arena - Locked to Lup
[He could fight here, but why go through the effort? It's so much easier to wait until he sees a good bet and then toss as much of the Charmed credit he's earned so far straight into it. If he loses? Oh well. If he wins? Hell yeah.

So the second he sees Lup enter the arena, he knows exactly what to do. He bets every single credit he's earned so far on her winning. He highly doubts anyone here could conquer her level of spellcasting and the utter destruction he has a feeling she's capable of doing. Most people here relied on melee combat and, well, wizards are made for smashing from afar. This is also a good way to check what she's capable of and she did not disappoint.

Once the battle is over, he waits down by the fighters' exit, leaning up against the wall with a pocket full of credits.]

If you are talking about stealing, I will not be a party to it. If you need money, there are jobs that can be obtained. Others in the fleet may also be willing to lend you some to get started.

[He agrees everything was probably salvaged and thus overpriced, but still, theft was theft. The owner had made the effort to find everything. He's not going to involve himself in something like that. He was having to pay for things for Shiro's arm because others had found it first]

[Ulaz had money - purple alien was apparently amusing to audiences - and since he normally didn't purchase anything, he usually didn't have anywhere it was going. But he wasn't just going to up and offer it, especially with that attitude]

[He won't stay from banks, Ulaz. That's pretty much the only line he won't cross. Also now he's not sighing and disinclined to ask anything at all.

Why did he have to find the one guy who was against a little petty looting? Taako didn't want to climb through garbage and get tetanus just to find a good slotted spoon.]

Mmmmmmmm, nah. Why do you care if I take a spoon anyway? It's not like this guy didn't have 400 of them sitting around.

Because whether it was found in the scrap heaps or not, they were the one who made the effort to find it. Just like normally items had to be made by someone. Taking it costs them money for their time and effort.

[What effort. These probably landed in the guy's backyard.

Taako sighs loudly and drops the spoon back into the pile. He didn't actually want the spoon itself, but now he knows this Ulaz is as straight-laced as they come.]

You ever hear the term "buzzkill?"

Yeah, you really, really don't.

[Taako on a bad day isn't something even Taako wants to see. He hasn't had many in his life, but he knows what he'll do when he's desperate. Today? He's only mildly annoyed at not getting his way. He'll find a way seeing it or leave and come back later.]

So what are you doing in here, Oolong? Looking for something in particular or just here to stop petty crime?

I was looking through some of the shops to see if there was something we need that's invaluable enough to be purchased rather than attempting to scavenge. We are working on a project for another member of the fleet and this planet is our best option for supplies.

[He's not going into in depth information with someone just recently having joined the fleet. Those that had been here and knew him likely could guess who it was for and why]

[Well that's vague. Taako is working on a project too - it's called making his ship not look like a disaster zone. He's been collecting scrap of the right color and types that he wants, scavenging and salvaging whenever he isn't out here trying to get supplies he needs otherwise.

It really sucks being broke.]

[It's not really meant to be anything other than cryptic. Taako doesn't need to know what he was working on specifically. It's not Ulaz's place to air Shiro's business in front of people he didn't even know.

But the difference between their projects is that Ulaz is not stealing for his.

Ulaz just gives that new nickname an eyebrow raise. Really?]

Unfortunately nothing I can speak of specifically. If there are any electronic devices that could be dismantled for parts, that might be of use.

[Ulaz wouldn't let him steal so yep, all the nicknames. Also, he is not big on the electronics despite being from an anachronistic fantasy world, so Taako shrugs a little.]

The guy has a back room you have to pay a few credits to get into, but he keeps big machinery back there. Most of it looks semi-functioning so might be worthwhile salvage.

He'd wanted to take some new pans, heavy bottomed and older, but good material. They would have made good pans again if Taako got his hands on them, thanks to his transmutation skills.]

Both, technically. I'm saving salvage and scrap for the ship, kitchen items for me because the ship kitchen? That thing is pathetically understocked and unprepared.

Yes, I remember the trouble Biffy had redoing the Blameless's kitchen... as well as decorating. I don't think I've seen someone put so much effort into creating color schemes on a ship before.

[After a moment, Ulaz glanced back at Taako. Resigning himself that he should be... neighborly at least, he picked up the remaining pans in the haphazard set and took them over to the shop owner. He was pretty good at bargaining, if only because people didn't want to deal with him too long.

Once the transaction was done, he held the pans out to Taako. For you. Now you don't have to steal them]
