[When Thor woke up this morning to a trashed room and a communicator blinking stubbornly with unread messages, it took him a few moments to really ... parse it all. The lingering grogginess didn't help matters - and where that came from, he has no idea. Looking at the date on his communicator only further complicated things.

So it's with a definite air of confused irritation that he opens this feed. He has all the grace of someone who took a bad nap.]

All right. Three questions - how long have I been out, who destroyed my room, and why are we parked in the middle of a garbage heap?

[He did take some time to look out the window. It's not a good view.]

It looks too much like Sakaar for my liking.

[At the question Thor shakes his head, gladly. Getting new memories once had been trial enough.]

No, no memories. Once doing that was plenty for me. [As though Thor gets a say in these things.]

I would imagine so. [He's actually glad to hear no new memories - selfishly enough, if it had started to happen to everyone he knows, he'd know something was in trouble at home. Funny how that works.]

Though I don't think I've heard of Sakaar. Another junkyard?

The junkyard of our universe, yes. I ended up there accidentally not long before coming here.

[Longer and longer ago though that may be. He sighs.]

It's a difficult place to escape from and exists outside of the normal flow of time.

[Their own universe has a junkyard? The Vision tries not to look too interested, since Thor obviously wasn't thrilled by it.]

That would put a damper on your enjoyment of this kind of thing, yes. But you did escape?

I did, through a wormhole. I was fortunate to be told which one would get me back to Asgard.

Ah, I'm glad. [And then he looks thoughtful.]

Do you suppose there are any wormholes here that might lead elsewhere?

[Thor gives that some proper consideration before he replies.]

It is always possible, but Sakaar was a unique case. The whole planet was surrounded by wormholes and they were easy to see. I have yet to see anything like them during the Fleet's travels. I also wouldn't know which to use - Heimdall told me which was right back home. I haven't got his Sight.

Ah, I see. An unknown wormhole could lead us to disaster easily enough.

[At least right now they're in a well-populated corner of space, and almost never more than a few weeks out from any system if there should be a disaster.

And if that place was surrounded by wormholes, no wonder it had become a junkyard. Surprising it hadn't also become a crossroads, though.]

It's a shame he can't seem to contact us here, or we could all escape.

[Thor scowls, reminded once again of the more frustrating aspects of this prison.]

There should be no place in the universe that Heimdall cannot see. If he could see me, I could speak with him, of that I am certain. [He'd done it once, after all.] It's that more than anything that makes me believe we are not within our own universe.

Or even one that's closely related to ours on the spectrum. [Live with three X-Men from three different timelines and learn all about parallel dimensions! It's fun, in that way that makes humans want to drink after thinking about it too much.]

Regardless, if we are to find a way out, I'm glad you're back to help us search for it.

[It's a belief Thor holds on to fervently. He has no intention of being one of those who becomes resigned to the situation they're in. He has the benefit of being much older than most - even a year isn't long enough to shake him too deeply.]

[He can understand that well enough. Especially when his ship doesn't currently have a Communications officer - they can't even make basic encryptions right now.]
