[When Thor woke up this morning to a trashed room and a communicator blinking stubbornly with unread messages, it took him a few moments to really ... parse it all. The lingering grogginess didn't help matters - and where that came from, he has no idea. Looking at the date on his communicator only further complicated things.

So it's with a definite air of confused irritation that he opens this feed. He has all the grace of someone who took a bad nap.]

All right. Three questions - how long have I been out, who destroyed my room, and why are we parked in the middle of a garbage heap?

[He did take some time to look out the window. It's not a good view.]

[It's fairly close, yet Thor shakes his head all the same.]

This time it's not quite the norm. I was put on the Marsiva, so I cannot say for sure that's what happened. It feels that way, I can say that much.

[Having fallen into a coma for a few days before, it feels roughly the same as waking up from that.]

I have been in a coma before though, for about four days. This would make it the second time if I count both.

My understand of the mechanics of these blackouts is still lacking, but I will take note of that.

[ Much of this place still troubles her. ]

Was this back on your own reality?

No, it was here. That time felt more like being returned home, with the accompanying physical and mental changes.

[princessences]

Oh, yes! Some friends of mine from my own reality went through something similar and came back with phoebs--I mean, months of new experiences.

[rebuildyourruins]

[He nods, understanding what she means immediately.]

Yes, I have had that happen as well. For me it was two years of time. It's not enjoyable.

[Then he shakes his head.]

But often you can go through these sleeps without any changes happening,

Two years...No, I can imagine not. A lot can change in that amount of time.

[ And some things don't change after 10,000. Strange how that works out. ]

Is that so? Is there any way to discern whether it will or won't? From an outside perspective, I mean.

[Thor can relate. Nothing earth-shattering happened to him until he was 1500 himself.]

Uh, well. [His brow furrows as he considers this.] For myself, I physically changed as well as mentally. I don't know if the change happened before I woke, but anyone watching me like that could have noticed it happen.

But that was also a sleep of only a few days.

[ He has a leg up on her there--10,000 years and she didn't experience 99.999% of it awake. ]

I see...that would be interesting if that were the case, even for such a short period of time, comparatively. I've been wondering if it is really a true sleep or some sort of stasis or suspended animation.

It has to be more of a stasis. Though what it really is, I cannot guess.

[princessences]

It seems there are more questions than answers in this place.

[rebuildyourruins]

[Thor shrugs it off, bold in his beliefs.]

The answers are there, we just haven't found them yet. And we will.

I certainly hope so. I am definitely benefitting from the wisdom and experience of those who have been here much longer than I, but the applications of what we learn here can be life-changing if only we were allowed to keep that knowledge.

You speak of what happens when we return home?

[Thor knows the story. Those who come here don't remember what transpires, and go home none the wiser. He knows from his own experience that he retained nothing of the Fleet in his two year return trip home. Still, he's not going to let 'what ifs' drag him down.]

I prefer to think of it as something we need to fight for, rather than hope it's allowed to us.

Yes.

[ She nods. ]

I agree. They are our experiences and memories, after all, and they are not for others to take. That they are locked away at all puts a sour taste in my mouth.

I don't like it either. But I have a lot of grievances against them at this point.

[princessences]

I imagine many do. How long have you been here?

[rebuildyourruins]

[He has to pause before answering, lest he get too moody over the amount of time.]

Just short of a year.

[princessences]

That is a long time to be away from home. I'm sorry.

[rebuildyourruins]

[He smiles again, though it's more sober than before.]

Thank you, but we are all in the same position. We'll make it back before long.

I certainly hope so. I don't intend to leave this place alone, nor without answers.
