[ loki is no stranger to space ships. though the kind of ships asgard uses are quite different in nature, he's read enough to be familiar with the make and feel of this one. he quietly turns on the recording device, squinting at it. very primitive but it'll have to do. he straightens himself, as befitting a prince, quiet and somber despite the nervousness. ]

Greetings. I am Prince Loki of Asgard. I wish to know about my whereabouts and swift return to Asgard. My father will not be pleased.

[ a pause as loki thinks of what else to add before pulling out a large knife he stole from the kitchens. ]

It looked sturdy, but I am not sure I trust this planet that much.

[ loki nods. he unpacks the box carefully, the kind of care you don't normally see in a child. he's always been a little quiet, somber. which isn't to say he can't have fun, he's just cautious at heart.

You have to plug it in first, and then the chocolate has to melt.

[She smiles warmly, her tone gentle. This must be terribly backwards compared to the technology he's used to.]

Let's take it to the kitchen.

[ plug it??? loki looks completely lost. ]

Will the kitchen make it work? Does it need magic?

It needs an energy source. Maybe one day you can make it run with magic, but I think it would be best to use it the normal way first.

[ loki's brow furrows, but he nods. ]

This is a strange ship. But I guess other Realms and places are different from Asgard and I should not forget that.

Sometimes it is a good thing. That's why this place has chocolate fountains.

[She still can't believe they don't have them in Asgard. With all that cool tech and magic, you'd think someone would have invented it...]

Come on. If your kitchen is like ours there should be a place for this - [She gestures, highlighting at raising the tail end of the plug with her power.] - to go.

[ asgard prefers their old aesthetics. loki peers at the plug and back at wanda quizzically. ]

Why do you keep your energy in a wall? Isn't that dangerous?

[She's never been here but hopefully this ship has a similar layout to the others. Shouldn't be that hard to find the kitchen...]

Not everyone has their own power like we do, and mine still won't make this work. It's not the right kind of energy.

[ loki frowns but he nods. ]

I guess that makes sense. I don't know much about other worlds yet. We haven't even visited Midgard.

[Okay, that definitely looks like the kitchen. Time find a plug for this thing.]

You know, we have restaurants that are nothing but chocolate or cheese fountains.

Here-- once we plug it in, it will start working. You'll know.

[The music box, of course, will start right away.]

[ loki starts, surprised before moving closer to poke it. ]

Midgard is stranger than I thought if it has such things.

Maybe one day we'll visit a planet that has one, or something like it. Their fountains are much bigger than this one.

[It's easy to forget who she's talking to for a moment. Who would have thought that Loki of all people had a secret soft spot for fondue fountains?]

It should start soon. I think it needs to warm up?

[And in a few minutes chocolate - or what passes for chocolate on this planet - starts flowing. The color isn't 'normal' (and maybe that was meant to be part of the appeal?) but the taste is pretty close.]

[ loki watches with wide eyes before extending a finger to dig in — only to pause to look at wanda for permission. ]

[Wanda just smiles at him. She's not going to fuss.]

[ but that's fine because loki loves sweet things. ]

[She smiles brightly.]

You can dip things in it too, like fruit.

[ loki looks around immediately. ]

Mm, I'm not sure. Let's see what we can find.

[Sorry everyone, but it's time to ransack the pantry. At least supplies aren't an issue in this system.]

Do you see anything you like?

[ loki scrunches up his face. ]

I can't see. I'm not tall enough.

[ with a flick of his hands, all the stuff in the pantry comes tumbling down, whoops. ]

[Well that's...one way to handle it. Wanda reaches out just in case but the boxes don't threaten to fall on them.

She gestures again and her powers start lifting boxes, tilting them so they both can see the contents. And it's...vegetables. Wand wrinkles her nose.]

That doesn't go with chocolate.

[She moves anything containing fruit out for later inspection and replaces the rest of the contents of the pantry wherever she can find room. Sorry, First Breath crew, she doesn't know where this stuff goes.]

[ loki scrunches up his nose as he looks it over. ]

No . . . At least none of the vegetables. I guess there's nothing here.

Maybe these berries?

[She squints. They look like some kind of weird space raspberry.]

And if they taste strange then we can just use a spoon.
