[ loki is no stranger to space ships. though the kind of ships asgard uses are quite different in nature, he's read enough to be familiar with the make and feel of this one. he quietly turns on the recording device, squinting at it. very primitive but it'll have to do. he straightens himself, as befitting a prince, quiet and somber despite the nervousness. ]

We don't need that. We were here before most people even existed. It wouldn't make sense.

He was just telling the truth though. Well, somewhat the truth. Even if Taako were back on Faerun, he wasn't going to go to any temples anytime soon or ever unless he suddenly gets called in by Istus again.

[ it's not so much taako's lack of faith than the idea that he won't go home. because loki is still a child. and he's always been more fearful than thor that things will work out. he grew up on stories of wars. even wars that end well do not remove the tragedy. ]

Sure, believe what he needs to believe. Taako might be terrible with children and kind of an asshole, but children are an untouchable thing. He can tease them relentlessly, but he won't ever hurt them. He knows what it's like to be a child alone with no one to trust.]
