[The Baruut System has given them a chance they never thought possible: modifications of their own for their ships. Guns and shields, everyone thinks of those, but there also are donut machines and slot car tracks. It feels like everything is possible!

So... is it?

The need for a safer way to share information and talk to the other crews (including the Interceptors) has been in Shiro's mind for a while now. Atroma took care of the communication options in his armor when he arrived, and the tablet he bought on a planet can't be used for this either. Only the apps work.

Could this finally be their chance? Time for gather people and find out.

TIME FOR TEAMWORK!

So where do you come in, fellow fleeter~?

1. The talk! Maybe you're being informed of the idea, or maybe you're informing someone else. Or you wanna discuss the options? The possible dangers? What we need to do this? (The Power of Teamwork, that's what!)

2. Asking for donations! Looking for parts in the planet! Arguing prices with the locals! Not everyone is a nerdy builder, but you can help in other ways.

3. Building! Bring your parts, pass the screwdriver to an engineer, help keep track of the screws. Is that a five or an S on the blueprints? Someone please feed these nerds, they've been in their labs for a while.

4. Installing and testing! Time to go for it! Bring your tablet, your phone, your personal computer, your Tetris machine- ok no. Send a message, check this works. Hope your selfie game is on point! Are you hacker and/or communications officer? Then help test the security! Send a cat meme to someone using someone's else number. A classic.

[Kramm stands there staring at the hamburgerphone in his hand. Shiro had a point. It was a very good point. But Kramm kept thinking about talking to someone on a burger. It was a really persuasive mental image in the whole argument.]

I will ... hold onto it for now, and give it some thought.

[He tries that as evenly and seriously as he can.

But you know what also works - diversion! He tips the bag open further to look in at the rest.]

[He chuckles.] It's all yours.

[Shiro doubts there will be much competition over the hamburger phone anyway. At the question, he nods, and takes advantage of the bag being open further to put his hand inside and rummage through the options.]

Yes, they'll be. Even if they're broken or obsolete, they can be used for parts. Our engineers will have the last word but who knows, maybe weird and old can help us keep Atroma off track.

The more help the better. It means more chances to succeed.

[He sounds really grateful about it and all! But his face falls a bit at the question, he also visibly tenses. Good thing he's quick to recover and hide behind his usual poker face.]

I lost it in a fight. My team is currently working on making a new prosthetic - this place is good to find parts for projects.

[Ooooo Kramm sees that look and immediately regrets everything.]

Yeah - yeah, this place is great for scrapping. Lotsa scrap. Good scrap. I have never seen so much scrap. Like, my world had - we had metal, and stuff, but not like this. This is all still pretty amazing to me.

[Kramm is quickly to move on a slightly variation of the topic and Shiro is incredibly thankful for this, too. While he doesn't mind telling certain battle stories (he IS proud of team Voltron after all) some others are a bit more personal.]

You mean technology? You aren't used to machines and robots? You aren't the first to come with that sentiment. [And now with some bitterness:] Atroma probably thinks the confusion is entertaining.

Yeah! Technology! No machines or robots. We had magic. Well, other people have magic I have .... uh, temper ... issues. But man; you ever see a really pissed of wizard start throwing fireballs all over the place and you're going to be glad he's on your side or regret he's not.

But no, not really much as far as technology goes.

[Temper issues... that reminds Shiro of Keith, of course. Except socializing with Kramm so far has been way easier than when he met Keith for the first time.]

My universe has a bit of magic too, but not to the wizard extent and definitely not on my planet. [Yep, someone is used to space travel.] Staying out of the path of fireballs is universal, I'm sure. You're enjoying the technology then? I know it can be hard to adjust.
