[It would be pretty easy for her to meet up with him at Malum since they both work there, but she figures it would be nice to see him outside that space and she hasn't been getting out a lot this month other than work as she's been toiling away on her own scavenging, purchasing, and assembly of things for the Twin Roses.

So it's his lab that finds her leaning against the door frame not terribly long after the call.]

[Tyrion looked up from where he was transcribing notes, mis-matched eyes bright as they fell on Kitty.]

I have a surprise for you. Two of them, in fact.

[He goes under his work bench to pull out ... what looks like a basic hilt of a knife.]

[She watches curiously. It wouldn't be the first time he's given her the gift of weapons though there's no occasion she can think of this time.]

What did I do to earn a surprise?

[He is quiet for a moment, and a little sad smile touches his face.]

[You're lucky she loves you, Tyrion. It's the only reason Riona actually gets up, gets dressed, makes a quarter-ass effort to look decent, leaves her room and travels. It's a miracle, really.

She looks exhausted, hungover, and something of a mess, but she's in the doorway of his Malum office as requested.]

[She nods her head.] It feels like the fleet is shrinking recently, doesn't it? [Losing people has always been a thing. It's just a matter of how close they were and how much you miss them. But lately she's noticed some of the numbers on the ships dwindling. It hasn't impacted the Twin Roses greatly, but the recent fusion brought it all into focus.] I guess that's why the Starduck happened. I wonder if there will be more soon.

[He looks up from his books, and his face gentles before he gestures to the seat in front of his desk. Going into his drawer, he pulls out a bottle of wine from the Medieval planet, and two glasses. He gives them both a healthy amount, before pulling out what looks like a sword hilt and putting it in front of her.]

Possibly, if we keep dealing with fluctuation like this. I have to admit, I am not sorry that some of us have been freed but ... I am not sure if they actually are.

[Riona takes the offered seat, all but slumping in it as she watches him finish pouring out the wine. She takes the glass with a small smile of thanks before sipping from it. The impulse to knock it all back is there, but not quite as strong as it was a week ago. Progress?]

No way of knowing really. All we know is they aren't here. [She likes to think of Winn safe at home. She gets the motivation to just believe everyone is back where they "belong." But that isn't better for some people.] Everyone thought the same thing at the last place I was at and here I am instead. Not that I'm complaining.

Well, at least we are still breathing. I am not sure about you, but there have been a few times that I was unsure I was going to have even that.

[Tyrion mused, settling himself on one of his stools, gesturing for her to take one as well.]

[He salutes her with the glass, because progress, and sips his. He's working his way back down to watered down wine.]

[Since they're on the same ship and Taako had just finished cooking when Tyrion put his announcement up, he just walks down the hall with a tray and knocks on the lab's door frame, popping his head in.]

[She moves in closer to put a hand on his shoulder and give it a squeeze before sitting next to him.]

So, you got me hilts? [Not that she's ungrateful, but it does feel more like part of a gift.]

_{[ He had seen to much drink in the past few days. A habit he would need to break - get back into his exercise and wash the taste from his mouth. So, instead of Malum, he opted for the lab. He knocked loudly on the door and stepped in, looking around curiously. ]}

[Tyrion looks up from where he is working, and his gaze narrows for a moment, before opening again at the tray.]

[He smirked, then slid a holstered weapon across his worktable to Jim.]
