[Lord Akeldama had woken not long before. He didn't feel quite like himself. He couldn't tell what was doing it more: the strange pain in the back of his head or the fact that he had essentially been ripped from his territory.

It was... different still somehow than it normally would have been.

He didn't necessarily feel like trying out this new gadget they had been given just yet so he stood by the large window looking into the blackness of space. He had always looked at it from the ground. This is what it looked like up close]


First Breath
[All of this moving around was not doing the vampire any good. Didn't they know that a vampire needed his territory in order to be settled. First one ship and now another. This was most inconvenient.

Hopefully, the moving between ships had stopped. He needed a few days to settle in, for his head to accept this ship has "his territory". He'd do better once that happens.

However, this other ship seemed to be more to his liking. The style wasn't quite what he'd do with his own house, but it was close enough and he wasn't going to scoff at it. So much better than that other ship.

So rather sitting alone in that tiny room they called a cabin, Lord Akeldama made his way to kitchen, sitting quietly by himself for the moment]

[Finally feeling more the thing, Lord Akeldama decided to go exploring this ship called "the Iskaulit". It certainly looked like there was more space there than on the other ships. He was right about that and was quite happy to go exploring, to see what sort of spaces there were available to the Fleeters.

He's probably not too subtle, dressed in plum colored evening jacket, gold waistcoat, high heeled boots, and a cravat of a different shade of purple that still seemed to compliment both the waistcoat and the jacket]

Good afternoon, fellow passengers of this thing called "the Fleet". As I understand it, we are all trapped this positively wonderful place as part of a farce. Am I correct in this assessment? Is there anything else that I should know?

[Not too subtle is certainly right. While walking through the Iskaulit to stretch his legs, Lance can't not notice the stranger strolling about as well, dressed up flashier than he thinks he's ever really seen anyone dressed up before. He blinks, deciding he might as well go say hi.]

Hey there. Uh, you look new here, am I right?

[Oh, look! Someone else from the fleet. He does give the other a smile, not enough to even accidentally show fang]

You would be correct, my dear. I am new here. It is my first foray into this vessel from my own. I am Lord Akeldama.

[He does make note of his appearance, the clothing specifically]

[Only a few sentences and he can tell that this guy is definitely Extra. But it isn't as if Lance isn't the same in his own Lancey way. So he just smiles, holding out his hand in greeting.

Currently, Lance isn't wearing anything terribly fancy. He's clad in a slim pair of jeans and a blue long sleeved shirt. Still, it's nice and neat, at the least.]

Welcome to the fleet, then, Lord Akeldama. The name's Lance.

[Hux walked by and had to do a double take as he spotted the unfamiliar face in it's outrageous outfit of bold colors. He blinked a bit before he remembered his manners. The person must be one of the new arrivals.]

Sir, do you need any help?

[He offered, wondering if the person was trying to find a particular place or person. Or just information in general.]

[Lord Akeldama is the most Extra. He always has been. Lord Akeldama does reach out to take Lance's hand, not really shaking it, but just holding it in his. His hands are a little on the cold side and he is definitely very pale]

It is a pleasure, Lance.

[He says Lance's name the same way Allura does]

Have you been in this place very long?

I am, Biffy darling, I am. I think after all the trouble these Atroma caused moving me around, they seemed to have placed me in the perfect ship.

[Considering he couldn't exactly leave "territories" without disrupting himself, this made him happy]

[He'd heard the jingle go through the ship, but figured the newest arrival would show up on their own time. Taako wasn't going to be the welcoming committee at the very least. He goes about his usual routine until it comes time for him to start meal prep. Taako walks into the kitchen pulling his hair up into a high ponytail to keep it out of his face, then slides his apron on and stops as he sees someone sitting in the kitchen.

Must be the new guy and apparently he is the welcoming committee.]

Well, not often I have an audience for this part, but I'm always willing to perform. You must be the newbie.

[How was it so painfully obvious that he was new? Like no one had ever seen a vampire in brightly colored clothing before...

Not that Lord Akeldama was really going to complain. He did like attention]

[Lord Akeldama had heard the sounds of someone walking in, but hadn't made any point to say anything to them as he seemed to go about his business. Until he was noticed at least.

He does partially stand now that he has been acknowledged, just long enough for what is considered polite]

He's only a little bit sweaty as he walks down the halls of the Iskaulit, fresh from his workout on the obstacle course and looking to get a bit of juice from the bars to recooperate. He catches sight of Akeldama and arches a brow. ]}

Is there a party happening I didn't know about?

[He's getting some Magic Brian vibes off this dude and Taako inclines his head a little. Mmkay then, Lord Akeldama. He supposes all lords are like that, introducing themselves with their titles must be important.]

Only been one jingle jangle today, so it's probably just you.

[Taako slides over to the kitchen and starts taking out the ingredients he needs to start up dessert. The cake will need to cool while the rest of the meal cooks. He spins a few bowls onto the counter and then brings the flour down. Time to grab some of that weird milk and chill it, then take a portion and transmute it into eggs. While Akeldama watches he pours some milk into a large cup and touches the rim. The milk inside changes shape and becomes two large white eggs.]

So, welcome to the First Breath. I'm Taako - the chef here - and you're lucky for that. You'll never have to eat the random goop the Atroma see fit to provide us with. You'll actually have real food.

Perhaps some. There are always ones more cautious and others who will tell all. I've spent many years instructing my drones in this.

[Normally, he could claim a much longer spate of someone not trying to kill him, but there was the Hypocras Club not even two years passed]

I think it will be. One of the residents has made it so very lovely. I just need to find the right accoutrements for my own living quarters.

It will be such a chore to replace all those clothes... but there is a proper space for them even if it is terribly small.

[Of course the state of his clothes is at the top of his priorities, but he had a closet]

Hmm... the closest I can think of might be full moon. There are always parties and special treats being made. Everyone wears their absolute best because it is the time to show off the latest trends.
