Who: Biffy and Lyall
Broadcast: None
Action: Biffy and Lyall's room on the Blameless
When: Today
Biffy had visited the planet a little and was finding himself rather enjoying the beautiful snow. There was something peaceful about it. And while it was cold there was something about it that just almost made him happy. The purity of it and how it made the world look so clean. He considered things as he walked through the snowy landscape before returning to the Blameless.
There was something he wanted to discuss with Lyall. He had a feeling his mate would be fine with it but it was better to ask him first.
So when his mate walked in, he smiled at him and went to give him a kiss. "Welcome back. How was your day?"

He'd been down a few times himself, if only to stretch his legs after the drift. it really was rather quite long to be so cooped up, even with how big the Iskaulit was. it wasn't the same as having real ground under your feet and feeling real wind.
no subject
He frowned in disgust for a moment. That planet had been awful for those with sensitive noses. Simply awful.
He shook his head and smiled again.
"It's beautiful down there."
no subject
The previous Planet was really bad and they did restrict their visits there so they were cooped up for a long time. The cold is really the only thing that Lyall doesn't relish about the place, but it is more than easily warded off with coats and fur.

The beauty and the curse of being a werewolf honestly. Coming closer, he wrapped his arms around Lyall from behind and nuzzled into his neck, breathing deep his scent before sighing softly.
"You know, given now these visits tend to go, we may be here until Christmas."
no subject
"Hmmm... It's true. if the pattern stays the same, we will."
There would probably be parties then... not that different from London, probably, even if the buildings were smaller and some areas less populated and there wass more snow. In fact it did look a little bit like Lyall's native Wales.
"Although it is strange that this would be such a widespread holiday if we are indeed on other worlds."
no subject
Of course Lyall did. That was why there were alone here and spending time together like this. Lyall leaning against him as he held him this way. Still, he was going to at least ask. It was polite.
no subject
After all, all of their respective duties were attended to, and before they turned in was usually a time reserved for such moments of gentle intimacy, just talking and hugging and generally being together.
"You are not planning on actually organizing a Christmas party, are you?"
Supernaturals were often invited out at this time of year, but it was not considered acceptable that they should be hosting and inviting humans in their midst normally.

Finding one of Lyall's hands, he threaded their fingers together and gently pressed a kiss to his neck. As if the kiss would certainly help to warm him up to the idea ahead of time.
"What do you think about our wedding being on Christmas Day? A beautiful winter wedding for our friends to attend. We can simply ask for a few hours of their time and they can have the rest of the day and evening for themselves."
no subject
The whole wedding idea was much more important to Biffy than to himself, he knew that. But he still wanted it to be perfect for Biffy. And with the current decor and not knowing when they would next get the chance to have one as beautiful as this...
He had just one small concern.
"Are you sure people will be okay with getting away from their own festivities on Christmas Day?"
Sure, Biffy had said 'a few hours', because he knew Lyall would be uncomfortable with anything too extravagant, but it was still Christmas.

He nuzzled right into his neck to give it a little nibble. Just a little one. He didn't want Lyall to be too distracted. They could have fun with matters of that nature later when they weren't in the middle of conversation.
"So is that a yes?"
no subject
He was unaware that this was the case, but if Biffy said so, he was ready to believe it.
And just a little nibble was already enough to distract him, thank you very much, and he gave his Alpha a Look over his shoulder.
"Of course. If that is what you think is best, and you want to do it this way, I have no objections."
no subject
"Thank you again. For being willing to do this. I know it doesn't have the same meaning to you."
no subject
"It is important to you, Biffy. So that makes it important to me too."
no subject
"With that in mind, the colors will be blue and silver. Do you think you'll be able to find something to where that works with that in mind?"
While they couldn't wear the actual metal, they could still wear the color. And it would be lovely for a winter themed wedding. And really the only real time they'd be wearing such colors if he were to be honest.
no subject
He wouldn't be surprised if Biffy had indeed thought of something already. He honestly had not ever imagined shopping for wedding attire for himself before.
no subject
Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a sample scrape of cloth in the color he was referring to. Just so that way Lyall could see it. A more muted color that would still be perfect for the wedding. To respect that his future husband was not as flashy a person as himself.
no subject
But he did take the piece of fabric to examine it carefully.
"It's beautiful."
And yes, it would probably look flattering on him. Maybe he could incorporate some dark blue in his waistcoat or cravat, while keeping the rest in this soft gray.
"I will find something."
no subject
But of course Biffy would let Lyall do this on his own unless he asked. He trusted his mate when it came to fashion. Certainly more than he did most people here.
"You'll look amazing in whatever you decide."
no subject
"I will start by shopping around. Hopefully there will be the talent and enough time to have something made quickly."
Because of course he would not be shopping off the rack for his own wedding. He wouldn't be shopping off the rack on most days, of course, but certainly not for that.
no subject
He cupped Lyall's face and smiled at him, looking right into those lovely eyes.
"I love you so much, Lyall."
no subject
"And I love you too."
And then he went to ruffle his hair. He knew Biffy tended to be frustrated with it, but he could never get enough of running his fingers through those soft curls.
no subject
Hair fixed, he kept smiling at his mate.
"You know, if you wanted to play with my hair I could have simply sat down and let you."
no subject
It wasn't the same to actually sit down to play with Biffy's hair and to give those little touches in passing as marks of affection, after all. Now that he had done it he was satisfied.
"Is there anything else that requires my input?"
no subject
Catching one of his hands, he brought his palm to his lips to press a kiss to it. That was one of his favorite ways to show his affections honestly. To just press kisses here and there. Everywhere really.
"You're not busy are you?"
no subject
He shivers a little at the feelings of those lips.
"Are you happy with what you have organized so far?"
That's really the most important thing to him. That Biffy is happy with whatever celebration he comes up with.
no subject
After all, he and Lyall were tethered quite thoroughly. They could feel things from each other that way.
"So do you think I'm happy with what I've organized so far?"
no subject
"I think you are having fun. And I am glad you are."
And, probably, everyone on the Blameless was too, because this was such an important project for Biffy that all his attention was focused on it, which in turn didn't leave him too much time to fuss about further decorating the ship.
no subject
"I am. This is proving to be more fun than I'd ever dreamed of when I was a boy."
Because of course he'd dreamed about this. He was a romantic at heart.
no subject
Lyall had never seen himself as much of a romantic by contrast. maybe it was because he tended to be attracted to more dominant personalities. He did have his own character and knew how to stand his ground when needed, and rather firmly, but his last lovers had all pretty much swept him off his feet.
"I know Captain Shiro has said so before, but I wonder if we'll get to see it back in our world... such unions becoming common place."
no subject
And if it wasn't then that would be fine too. Because he loved this man right here with or without a ring on his hand to prove it. And he knew Lyall could feel it each and every day.
"Though I also like to hope we do if only to irritate Channing."
no subject
Channing has been constantly irritated by their relationship for not other good reason that it exsist and it works and he doesn't have one, and also he lives to be contrary. Neither Biffy nor Lyall let it bother them. Rather, Lyall would have been worried if Channing hadn't looked grossed out every time he caught his old friend looking at Biffy tenderly.
"I think it will go beyond irritating him if we do."
no subject
He already knew that Lyall would enjoy messing around with Channing as much as he did. Really the man brought it on himself in the end. People wouldn't be nearly so interested in picking on him if he didn't give such delightful reactions.
no subject
When was riling up Channing not fun? Especially since most of the time he riled himself up with no help from anyone.
"Having him here to witness it would make this perfect."
no subject
He lightly pressed a kiss to Lyall's lips and then gently brushed his fingers over his cheek, admiring the softness of his skin, the paleness of it.
"I'm so grateful that I at least have you."
