[Aveline is... just waking up in the Hospitality Deck. Hello. She blinks several times, disoriented and feeling rather like she had far too much to drink the night before -- and not even good stuff, but more like something questionable and tainted with rat droppings that one might find in the Hanged Man. She sits up, rubbing her temples for a moment, with her eyes squeezed shut. This is all very... strange. And unfamiliar. And yet... she knows it, too. And that doesn't make sense, not remotely. She stares across the room for a moment, trying to put the pieces together. She touches the augment behind her ear, experimentally, and for a long moment is quiet as she looks around the room, scowling like a thundercloud.

Okay. First things first.]

If someone's there, come talk to me face to face.

[It's not a suggestion. It's an order. She pulls herself to her feet, still frowning.]

[Great. Just... great. She pinches the bridge of her nose, and sighs.]

Wonderful. Just... Are you in charge here?

I suppose you could try... looking out the door? [ He shrugs. ] Just a suggestion.

Hardly. I've been taken from my world, just like you. We're here at the whim of a being known only as Atroma, who is using us for their own entertainment.

Is that supposed to be helpful?

[Sigh, grumble, fuss. Fine. Maybe there's a sign or something? Aveline runs a hand through her hair and wanders away from the cot she woke up on and towards the centre of the room.]

Give me a landmark to look for, at least.

[ Steve can tell already she's going to be a hard nut to crack. Won't stop him from trying, though. ]

You're just woken up, so you're in that hallway with all the beds... [ He's thinking out loud, now. ] If you head to the right a ways, there's a room with a bloody huge window with quite the view. Should be easy enough to find.

[ And he'll head to the viewing bay himself in the hopes she'll find it. ]

[For a moment she covers her eyes, trying to let this sink in.]

I'm too busy for this. I should be home. I don't have time to play the clown for this Atroma person.

She'd seen the woman unconscious in one of the bunks on her second or third circuit through the dormitory she'd also woken up in. Regular breathing, no signs of injury--seems like they all end up here the same way. And she's pretty sure she wasn't out for that long, at least not out and in the bed, so instead of moving along, Natasha pauses to watch the process of waking up, taking up a place just out of eyesight by habit.

When the woman sits, scowling, Natasha watches, arms crossed as she leans against the opposite wall, and when she speaks, she knows it isn't really the same English she speaks, in the same way that she also knows exactly what she's saying anyway. "I'd try asking politely. From what I've seen, demanding answers doesn't really get much of a response, here." Her tone is cool, more composed than it was even an hour ago. Putting on a front helps with her own discomfort.

[Okay, that she can follow. Out she goes, and she finds the window easily enough, and... that is quite the view, wow.]

Maker's breath.

[She needs to sit. She does, rather suddenly. It's a lot to take in all at once.]

[ Steve, who arrived at the viewing bay just about the same time she did, smiles and does a little nod. ]

I... have that effect on people.

[ Damnit, Steve, not everything is about you! ]

Which is... putting it mildly, to be fair. It's probably a good thing she doesn't have a sword in reach because she's in the mood to cause some damage. Still, for now, Aveline just puts her head in her hands.

"There's no reason I should be expected to stand for this. I won't stand for this. I should be in Kirkwall, trying to keep half the city from killing the other half. I don't have time to play nice."

[ So other people--well, Beverly, not Steve--are doing the actual work of explaining to Aveline what the Void is happening? Yes? Good, that means Hawke can move right on to beaming like several industrial-sized spotlights. ]

[Hawke. That's the best news she's had since waking up! This is something of a relief.]

Trouble and you go hand in hand, though. Of course you're here. Tell me honestly. How much trouble are we in?

That all rests on your definition of trouble. It doesn't seem that anyone can leave, but in the month I've been here no one's tried to arrow me, stab me, or turn my mind into porridge!

[ What with there being a remarkably low number of demons around. Not ...none, but we'll get to that. ]

It's good to see you, Aveline. Not exactly ideal circumstances, but I'll take what I can get.

[Fenris has been in a Bad Mood, not that his is anything rare, he's perpetually in one. But this...this is something that brings a brief smile across his face. Which for Fenris is roughly the same as a full-on beam.]

[Ugh, he hadn't realised just how much he's missed her, until he's heard her voice again. He'd call the feeling homesickness, but his home is and always will be the motley crew he's come to think of as his family. It's good to see her again. ]

We...can't come over there, just yet. Something prevents us from entering the Marsiva. It does not last long, a week at most, and then they will put you on a ship.

You've been here a month?

[That's harder to wrap her mind around than anything else so far. Also, horrors, Hawke's been unsupervised for a whole month. Also no wonder he was so glad to see her.]

Hmm. It's a much larger ship. We live in smaller ones, in our own crews. I'm not sure why newcomers arrive on the Marsiva first. It's an annoyance, but thankfully a brief one.
