[It took a moment for all his memories to mesh together again once he woke up, but Keith sat up slowly once they did. Okay, ha ha, Atroma... Garrison cadet uniforms sucked. He sighed and glanced back over his shoulder to see if Lance had made it back or stayed or just... whatever.

Judging by the uniform on him, too, Lance had gone back, too... or slept through it? Keith definitely felt like he'd slept through it.

And the graphitti on his face indicated-wait...

Keith's eyebrows went up... and he looked around the room. Pidge. Keith knew Lance was going to flip out when he woke up, but, for now, Keith wasn't going to leave Pidge just lying on the floor. He carefully picked her up and put her on the bed. There was a moment of concern at how passed out she was, especially when he noticed the signs of exhaustion in her features. What the heck happened?

Keith headed out to get some water only to notice his own new look in the bathroom mirror. Well then. He just hoped it wasn't permanent marker this time. He started washing, deciding that Pidge could get her own water when she woke up... or maybe just let her and Lance wake up together. That could be interesting...]

[This is probably the only time Keith's come back from a trip home or a impromptu coma in a relatively good mood. Granted, he wasn't exactly bouncing around the Huntress or the Iskaulit like it was the BEST DAY EVER, but he didn't seem as 'emo' as usual.

He could be found at the gym, the obstacle course, getting food, in the Voltron team "Lion's Den", doing his turn at the helm on the Huntress... basically being himself, but less depressed and angsty.]

[It took a few days to really catch on, but, eventually, Keith had to catch Lance and pull him aside. He'd been distant lately, and it was concerning. Ever since they got back, really. He knew it was hard on their relationship to keep getting new memories of them not being a couple back home, and Keith was a little worried that Lance might be considering that route for here in the Fleet, too.]

Hey... [He stopped Lance from leaving their room one morning.] Is everything okay? You seem kind of... distant.

Wish tree. I got there and asked for it. I thought maybe the Atlas could help us escape... I should've expected this after seeing Keltenecker, huh?

[That was Atroma, to be fair, so is it so bad to expect different from the tree? Oh well.]

Yeah... it would have been nice if things were that easy... [Mostly. Keith was still torn over the situation with Lance, but he mentally shook it off for now.] So... this tree thing, it really exists after all, huh? Was it hard to find?

[Keith had ideas...]

More or less. I only was half looking for it, keeping an eye for any curious paths. I was mostly going down the caves to explore and get some ore. [He always needs a job to do, and he needs to refill his cash account anyway.] Thinking of asking for something, buddy?

Yeah... I wonder what kinds of things it'll grant...

It seems something big and powerful like the Atlas wasn't a problem, even if it had to make it smaller to "bring it". [He can't help glancing at her as he speaks. It's still hard to believe that's his ship, if it wasn't for the connection, he would still be doubting.] Are you thinking about the lions?

Mm... yeah... [Keith shrugged. Having the Black Lion in tiny form like that would be pretty cool... He sighed.] I don't know. Maybe. I mean, it would be better than a remote control model of my speeder. [And, really... if he was going to get that, he wanted the real one.]

[That makes him laugh.]

You're right, it wouldn't be different from my slot cars. I do miss the speeders. The fleet pods don't even compare.

Well, they're not fast enough. That's the problem. If we could find a way to upgrade them for speed, that would be pretty awesome.

It really would. Although knowing Atroma, if they let us make the pods more powerful they would probably add a catch in exchange.

[He doesn't want to sound pessimistic but after they weren't able to take them very far last time, welp. Can't allow himself to think hopefully things about those damn pods.]

Maybe. Too bad we didn't think of it while we were on that junk planet. We might have been able to find something to boost the engines with. Most people seemed to concentrate on shields and weapons.

[Which wasn't a bad thing, really. It was still important. Plus, they had created the private network, and gotten together a new arm for Shiro. So, it definitely wasn't a bust.

Faster pods would have still been nice, though.]

After the experience with the cannibals, can you blame us? [Since Shiro concentrated on that too. Oops.] If we hadn't worked on the new network, I think I would've eventually thought about the pods. But my priority was elsewhere, and I don't regret it. Being able to freely talk to the Interceptors was liberating, to say the least.

[Keith shook his head.] No. I don't.

[He nodded a bit, though.] The network was important. We can integrate other devices on that one which didn't have access to Atroma's network, too. Like our suits.

Making the paladin armor work properly again was another thing I'm thankful for, I must admit. I know it wasn't high on the list of priorities but it provides certain comfort safety, don't you think?

[Something from home he knows he can rely on...

Also the fleet astronaut suits suck, just saying.]

[Keith smiled a little, a knowing look.]

Yeah. It does in a way.

Plus, it gives us something to use without Atroma knowing... outside of us just having our armor comms. The network overall is a good thing.

It is. [He nods as his eyes follow the Atlas. He wonders if he could hide information in her, too.] I must admit, I almost want the opportunity of a new heist now. We can protect our discoveries this time.

[Keith looked a little amused and nodded.]

Yeah. Who knows? Maybe we'll get that chance. I can't imagine that the secret lab we found was the only place that had any kind of information stored. There has to be more.
