MARSIVA - Hospitality Deck: Arrival Video
[ Waking up in a foreign place was extremely unpleasant. Krolia had assumed she was still in the hospital, by her son's side after their fierce battle-- she soon discovered she was wrong. She wasn't alone: There is a human male, with a metal arm (That wasn't Shiro, unfortunately), but she hadn't approached him quite yet. She awoke with a start, immediately going for her luxite blade only to find she had been disarmed, her clothing clean and repaired from previous encounters. She turns her attention to the camera. ]
I'm not used to this sort of hospitality while being imprisoned. [ A beat. ] Your attempt to placate me is noted, but I will not cooperate.
[ That is to say, she will not cooperate depending on what they are asking of her. If it had to do with her son? She will do everything to make sure he was safe. ]
MARSIVA - Hospitality Deck: B o r e d
[ Twenty-four vargas and she was steadily working through all of her meditation efforts. She has attempted training, exploring (as much as she could), and is doing her best to not pace a hole through the floor. Nothing was easing her mind of the situation. She was trapped on a ship in deep space with no idea where in deep space she was. Krolia was disciplined! She could handle being trapped, she could handle being housed in a single area, but the silence from her captors was having her start to question their intentions. ]
SS TWIN ROSES-- Bridge
[ It felt like blinking. One moment she was looking at kicking over a bed on the Hospitality deck for fun, the next she was on the bridge of an entirely new ship. Her stomach twisted, immediately dropping in a defensive stance when she finally had her wits about her. After a moment, she has the sound mind to realize that going on the defensive early on may not be the best.
She relaxes her stance, hands quickly put into a resting position behind her back. She would play their game, so let them try and catch her off guard. ]
I apologize for the sudden entrance. [ Not that she could help it. She moves to pull confetti out of her hair. ] Krolia, reporting for duty.
Fleet Wide Network-- Video
Good evening.
[ She sits with her hands folded, looking into the camera with a stern expression. Her eyes narrow slightly, but she appears relaxed in her new cabin. She has questions but-- she would let people come to her. ]
I am curious about what the point of our arrival. What goal is in mind and what information is anyone willing to share?

[ A nice word for it. ]
It look forward to working with your crew. Is there anything I should know?
no subject
Things to know... Many. [But where to start?] Most of us have powers—special abilities. I'm not sure if that's something you're familiar with? [But considering how often Kurt is on the ceiling or Vision is floating or she's walking through walls it's worth a heads up. And if Remy or Wanda are using their powers it's probably even more noticeable and if Vash is using his just get off the ship as fast as you can.
It's also an indirect way of asking if their new crewmate has any. It's always good to know.]

What's quintessence? At least in this instance. [It's a word meaning the perfect example of a quality, but that isn't something you manipulate back home.]
no subject
[ What a strange way to describe herself. ]
Quintessence is a self-generating power source found in all life. It aids in keeping our society functioning.
no subject
And, yeah, it's a variation on humans. A genetic difference with some unpredictable outcomes. Mutants is one of the nicer things they call us.
no subject
[ She shakes her head. ]
It doesn't sound like a nice thing to say with how you describe it. Is there another term you prefer to use?
no subject
Not really. The only more flattering one is homo superior and it's a little [Searching for the right term] full of itself? [And reminded her a little too much of Apocalypse's campaign to dominate humanity.]
So, what augment did you get? They tend to assign our basic functions on the ship. I'm an engineer.
no subject
[ Of course it is. It doesn't surprise her at all. ]
Security. Fitting, I suppose, considering my background in weapons, combat, and espionage training.
no subject
That's great. We haven't had a security officer in awhile. And no security officer means the ship's weapons don't actually work at all whether we could figure them out or not. [In a normal world she's absolutely sure they could figure them out especially between her and Vision. In a world where the augments can repress information as readily as they give it that's another story.]
We do have a few alternatives, but that'll be nice. Space battles aren't a common thing but it's happened. And it sounds like you'll fit right in. [Considering how many of them have weapons, combat, and espionage training.]
no subject
It's lucky that I am familiar with space battle. The Galra have perfected it over the last 10,000 years. It will serve us well should a conflict arise.
[ Though she's not going to get used to the low ceilings. This is going to be a learning curve. She towers over most of the crew, and it would be a challenge for day-to-day activities, but she was ready for it. ]
I look forward to working with your crew and learning about your people. I was not on Earth long, and it will be nice to learn more about humans.
[ Partially so she could bond with her son. ]
no subject
[She tips her head.] Thanks, but I think only Sara is human, but most of us are from Earth. A version of it anyway. [After a pause.] I guess I don't know how Wanda identifies. She might say human. [She always thought of her as a mutant even though that's apparently not a thing on her world. She supposes there's no reason Wanda wouldn't think of herself as human. Might even be offended to be called something else.]
Vash has never been on Earth. [She realizes belatedly she shouldn't have included him with non-humans since he isn't exactly super excited to talk about being a plant. But maybe having been raised on a different planet will smooth that over.]
