MARSIVA - Hospitality Deck: Arrival Video

[ Waking up in a foreign place was extremely unpleasant. Krolia had assumed she was still in the hospital, by her son's side after their fierce battle-- she soon discovered she was wrong. She wasn't alone: There is a human male, with a metal arm (That wasn't Shiro, unfortunately), but she hadn't approached him quite yet. She awoke with a start, immediately going for her luxite blade only to find she had been disarmed, her clothing clean and repaired from previous encounters. She turns her attention to the camera. ]

I'm not used to this sort of hospitality while being imprisoned. [ A beat. ] Your attempt to placate me is noted, but I will not cooperate.

[ That is to say, she will not cooperate depending on what they are asking of her. If it had to do with her son? She will do everything to make sure he was safe. ]

MARSIVA - Hospitality Deck: B o r e d

[ Twenty-four vargas and she was steadily working through all of her meditation efforts. She has attempted training, exploring (as much as she could), and is doing her best to not pace a hole through the floor. Nothing was easing her mind of the situation. She was trapped on a ship in deep space with no idea where in deep space she was. Krolia was disciplined! She could handle being trapped, she could handle being housed in a single area, but the silence from her captors was having her start to question their intentions. ]

SS TWIN ROSES-- Bridge

[ It felt like blinking. One moment she was looking at kicking over a bed on the Hospitality deck for fun, the next she was on the bridge of an entirely new ship. Her stomach twisted, immediately dropping in a defensive stance when she finally had her wits about her. After a moment, she has the sound mind to realize that going on the defensive early on may not be the best.

She relaxes her stance, hands quickly put into a resting position behind her back. She would play their game, so let them try and catch her off guard. ]

I apologize for the sudden entrance. [ Not that she could help it. She moves to pull confetti out of her hair. ] Krolia, reporting for duty.

Fleet Wide Network-- Video

Good evening.

[ She sits with her hands folded, looking into the camera with a stern expression. Her eyes narrow slightly, but she appears relaxed in her new cabin. She has questions but-- she would let people come to her. ]

I am curious about what the point of our arrival. What goal is in mind and what information is anyone willing to share?

How is this possible?

The nearest we have been able to determine is that the Atroma managed to pull me from our world tics before my death. So I am alive but there is nothing to return home too.

Not for you, no.

[ She wasn't prepared to see a ghost from the past. It takes her a moment to collect herself. ]

[He knows this must be weird for them so he is silent until she speaks again]

I would do it again if I had to. It is good to see you as well. It has been a while.

You are here for a reason or the Atroma would not have pulled you before your death. For what it's worth, I am glad you are here.

[ She smiles at him. ]

Tell me, Ulaz. What have you been doing here?

I am glad that I get the chance. It is not how I intended, but I have had the chance to learn more about this culture and the paladins than I did back home, including your son.

I am the lab support on the Blameless where I am also the first mate to Shiro. I have been trying to learn what I can about the Atroma.

I must warn you. The witch and Prince Lotor are also here in the fleet.

[This is important information because she will eventually see them]

A chance worth taking. Earth culture is quite fascinating though I'm not sure I understand everything still.

[ Then again, her knowledge is a bit outdated.

Also, forget that he's on Shiro's ship. The fact that Haggar and Lotor are among the fleet has caught her attention. ]

Prince Lotor and the witch? Do we have eyes on them?

From what I have learned so far, it is both fascinating and confusing.

Lotor is on the same ship as Allura so she is keeping an eye on him. The witch is on the First Breath. There is no one from our group there, but one of the Blameless crew who knows about her - Biffy - his former master is now on that ship. We might be able to use his assistance to keep watch for anything suspicious.

I would prefer not to have someone she knows is watching her there because it could mean she'd be more cautious than otherwise. If she is planning something. Neither have been drawing any sort of attention to themselves.

[That and he had transferred ships specifically to block the open lab support position on the Blameless in case she had tried to move closer to Shiro. Like a weird game of chess. Not that she still couldn't transfer, but an open position didn't justify it]

Understandable. She is unfortunately clever.

[ Understatement of the year. If Haggar was on board any of their ships, her movements would be easier to track, but she would be more cautious. As long as someone had eyes on her, she was satisfied for now.

She has to circle back to the Earth question. ]

So what have you learned so far?

She is. We have a truce with her as long as neither side acts against the other. My attempt to fight her in the library of an abandoned planet lead to both of realizing how pointless it was since we would be constantly around each other. We also won't gain much favor in the fleet unless they act out first.

[If nothing else, Ulaz didn't get to where he was and his age by being stupid. Reckless at times, but not stupid]

What have I learned about Earth culture? I have learned about one of the far eastern cultures and their sword traditions from Kogarasumaru. I have learned there is some sort of rivalry between people who drink tea and those who drink coffee though I can't figure out why. They also have a lot of celebrations that I don't quite understand the meaning of, most of which involve food.

To name a few.

Coffee tends to have more of the drug caffeine than tea, I've found. [ She asked a certain someone to explain it to her once. ] Apparently the plant itself developed this toxic drug to protect itself from wildlife. Humans have decided to turn it into a drink.

[ Which makes them hardier then they look. ]

The celebrations I don't understand either. The inability to go into town did hinder my learning while I was there. I should ask Keith sometime.

Is it? Fascinating. Clearly in lower doses, caffeine has no effects to causing poisoning in humans or Galra.

[Since he's been drinking both with no ill-effects]

I will have to ask. Shiro has helped to explain some of them to me as well.

I wish I managed to get a sample of the plant itself. You would have loved it. The properties were quite fascinating just in their "bean" form. The origin or roast can determine the strength of the drug, or the flavor.

[ The fact that he's had coffee is actually pleasing to hear. This means maybe she could have a little taste of home. ]

Is there a holiday soon?

We might be able to obtain one on some planet we visit. This one might be too cold for such a plant.

[They can bond over coffee sometime]

I believe so. The one called "Christmas".

That would be nice.

[ It would be nice to bond with Ulaz again. ]

Christmas. [ That sounds familiar. ] That is one of the holidays they gift presents, isn't it?

Yes, it is one of the holidays where they give presents. The paladins have told me about it.

[He really would like to bond with her again as well. It has been a while since they have spoken]

I'm not prepared for the holiday.

[ Spending time on Earth gave her some advantages to information, but living in hiding hindered much of her ability to learn. ]

I'll be prepared for the next one.

I doubt you will be faulted for it. You just arrived and don't have funds necessary for such things.

Yes, we will find out what the next one is.

I assume most of those in the fleet are human -- it would be worth while to map out all of their holidays.

[ Actually. ]

How does the rest of the fleet deal with having what they consider aliens on board?

Most or a facsimile. There are those who appear human but are not, including several classified as gods in their own world, the human personification of a sword, and the two werewolves on the Blameless though they were human previously in their existence.

I have had surprisingly little reaction to my appearance by members of the Fleet and most are willing to help those who are unfamiliar with something.

It is on the surface that I usually attract the most attention.

Fascinating. I look forward to meeting more of those among the fleet. I'd be curious to speak to so-called Gods. Their lives must be interesting.

[ She appreciates that he's thorough. Questions aside, it was nice to know they weren't the only non-humans among the fleet. ]

The two gods I am aware of are Thor and Loki if you should happen to speak to them. I spoke to Thor not long after I arrived and Loki not at all. It sounds like there are many here with interesting lives.
