[Honestly, this waking up on the Marsiva with a coughing fit thing is getting old. Also confusing this time round, because she's pretty sure she didn't go home. There's nothing to go home to. When she checks the network, she finds she's been gone for months.

...where?

In light of feeling like death warmed up, she elects to pull the blankets up in the room she finds herself in and rest. When she can hold a conversation without sounding so raw, she'll hit the network. The last time this happened she hadn't been sure of her welcome. This time, she knows. People will have missed her.

Which is a good feeling. She'll need to let them know she's all right.]

[As it turns out, she's only on the Marsiva for a matter of hours, which is new. The musical intro is what wakes her as she's dumped suddenly onto the bridge of an unfamiliar ship. Instinctively, then, she shields her face, because the last thing she needs to do right now is inhale the confetti that comes raining down. It would be a terrible first impression.

So... it's not the most graceful entrance she's ever done, that's for sure-- meet your new Tactical officer? A thin, sickly woman in a kimono. Hi. She'll do her best to introduce herself to the crew politely and then find a way to whichever room will be hers for the time being. She'd like nothing more than to go back to sleep, but at this point it would be the height of rudeness not to alert people to her return.

I don't understand why this has happened, but it seems I've... been gone for some time. I am sorry. Is... everyone still here?

[The smile on the Vision's face has a tinge of relief to it.]

Makie. We're still here on the Twin Roses - welcome back.

Thank you. [She sees the relief and feels a touch guilty, but at least Makie recognises she didn't have much choice. All the same--] I'm sorry I didn't let you know sooner. I intended to call from the Marsiva, but I misjudged how long I would be there for. You're all still here, then?

[That's relieving.]

It's quite all right - it can be disorienting, can't it?

[Though at least when it had happened to him, he'd been busy trying to reconcile the influx of new memories with the way his personality had developed. It had been quite distressing.]

We are. We've gained a new Security officer, but there's still an abundance of room for old friends.

Very much so. [Being referred to as an old friend. Something out of the bounds of possibility back home, and here it's so sweet. She smiles.]

I'm glad to hear it. Who is our new Security officer?

[That he has friends at all outside of his team is something that only happens in this place.]

Her name is Krolia and she's a 'Galra' - a kind of tall, purple nonhuman whose people have been in space for a very long time. She's wary of us still, but that's to be expected.

[Ah, well. She's certainly met non-humans before.]

I shall have to introduce myself... when I return. [She hesitates, because Makie isn't missing time, but she's aware of the sorts of things that were afoot when she apparently vanished.]

Did Wanda end up creating her music room?

[He shakes his head.]

No, she decided to take the Communications augment shortly after your departure and the additional room vanished. Though she's rearranged the lounge somewhat to make room for instruments and to have better acoustics, so now it's an unofficial music room.

Ah. [Well, it's a little disappointing (and odd) that their potential room just... uh, vanished... but she had been using the lounge area to begin with.]

Then I hope you will mind if I play there from time to time. [It's the one part of her past she still holds close to her. She may as well indulge it.]

I'd be most pleased to hear your music again. We've all missed it.

[She smiles at that.]

I would be most happy to play for you. Though it seems so strange. To my recollection, I was there merely yesterday.

Yes, that's right. Though if you've a question about the physical sciences, I'm well versed in those as well.

[There's no angel to magically heal her illness away this time. Which is a shame; she misses Castiel for other reasons, too. But she'll need to be proactive. She's tired of returning here with this issue.]

Do you know much about... human diseases?

I do, but it's more theoretical than practical, I'm afraid. Did an unwelcome guest invite itself along?

[There's a soft huff, not quite a laugh.]

I suppose it did. In my last days at home, I had an illness. It seems every time I return to the Fleet, it is inflicted upon me once more.

[He huffs and crosses his arms.]

Well, if Kurt hasn't a cure among the medical supplies, we'll locate one as soon as we get to a station or modernized planet. And it's also possible we can at least treat the symptoms. I haven't been collecting medical plants for nothing.

It would be greatly of assistance, Mr Vision. [Whoops, just falling back on formality again, don't mind her.] When I return to the ship, I can discuss it with you in more detail. It occurs to me you're likely one of the few who won't need to fear becoming infected yourself.

[That cracks his annoyance and get a smile.]

That is correct. I cannot contract human illnesses.

Although there was one planet we visited where I caught the local version of a cold, and it was quite miserable. Your fortitude is extraordinary to deal with something worse on a day-to-day basis. I'll help you regain your health as quickly as possible.

Thank you. [She smiles back, though she is ... kind of puzzled.] But how did you manage to catch such an illness?

[he sniffs, as though it's somehow beneath his dignity to catch a cold.]

A magical effect of one of the snow planets we visited - the one the arctic foxes were from, if you remember them.

I think that was slightly before my time. Did you recover quickly?

Quickly enough, yes. But it did help me to understand the importance of good health in my companions. I'll do whatever I can for you.
