The look on Taako's face says it all. He's done a lot in his life to survive, eaten things that aren't fit for consumption, scrounged and fought over scraps, done whatever it took to live another day. But even then, Taako would never describe the paste gels in the kitchen as "not bad." They weren't food substitutes, good enough in a pinch, but never to be classified as "food."
